this is such a great story even though its been a couple of years i hope this isnt abandoned

So fanfic is such a small world...I recently watched Rogue One and I'll be honest I was never that big of Star Wars fan but dutifully watched them with my husband, but I absolutely adored Rogue One and Jyn and Cassian. Of course, I had to look up some fanfic because their story cannot end the way it did in the movie...and I come upon this fantastic story. Simply loved it. Then I noticed your pen name and thought it looked familiar and clicked on it and realized you wrote the "Stages" fanfic for Broadchurch (which has to be in my top 5 fanfics of all-time (anytime you want to update it-I would love it!). Anyways, just wanted to say I love all the angst and compassion you bring to all these broken characters that you give a chance to heal. Kudos on both stories! Keep writing! :)

By the way, great use of Spanish and Cassian and his Spanish heritage, that was beautiful!
The battle was also fantastic, even though it was a glorified retreat. How did Cassian survive being cornered like that? I read that with a pit in my stomach as things seemed quite hopeless.

I noted how when Bodhi hugged Cassian, the latter flinched a bit, but not so much with Jyn. Ah, I didn't quite realise/forgot that Jyn's aversion to the needles/treatment is a reflex reaction to her torture, is that basically like hooking your prisoner on heroin or something? Does she now have to take an equivalent of methadone?

In your opinion, how does someone disable a ATAT? Climb it and find a weak spot? I suppose it's time to find a new hideout for the Rebels. So, will it be the Siege of Inyusu Tor next?

This whole fanfic is absolutely wonderful. I love the dynamic between the three of them, but especially that of Jyn and Cassian. Also, I really am grateful that you don't shield them from the realities of being in the rebellion-they get split up for different tasks, they get captured, tortured, they almost die (rather than REALLY die). Which is the reality of what they are doing. I'm truly appreciative of that.

You've done a wonderful job and I can't wait to see what is to come.

I guess Jyn was being tortured mentally too, being showed that side of Cassian when he killed Trevik, maybe that was the Interrogator's ploy? I wonder if Jyn would have given up the base if Cassian was dragged in front of her? I think Cassian (after a huge internal conflict) would have done so to save Jyn... Reminds me of that scene from the Walking Dead when Maggie and Glenn are being tortured by the Governor, and Maggie gives up the location of their camp when the Governor is about to kill Glenn...
Having said that, it seems Jyn has more fortitude than the pilot- was he of a higher rank than her?
I'm glad that Cassian saw Jyn again, hopefully they can both get off Hoth safely. I wonder what the contingency plan is now? Would it be to go to a specified emergency planet, or to scatter into groups?
Do you imagine Cassian as being the Spaniard version of the Galaxy? I do! :)
