EXACTLY! if destiny can't be changed then Morgana will be evil no matter what merlin does, and he can't kill her, (not before she's evil anyway) but if destiny can be changed then Morgana may not turn out evil, and killing her would be wrong, instead he could help to change her destiny by being her friend. I'm surprised I didn't really think of that before, only recently when I went on a binge of merlin fan fictions, and then I was wondering why none of the fan fictions I've read ever mention it, but now one finally has.

Haha this is gold though cuz i kept thinking if only merlin had listened to gaius when he told him the future wasn't set in stone and that he was seeing only one of many possible futures then merlin would have been much better off without making certain decisions

Omigosh ... the tears in my eyes from laughing so hard ... LOL ... unfortunately, the series would had been much shorter had this very important, honest, and much more realistic conversation had happened. And to agree with another reviewer ... that Yoda reference was all kinds of awesome!

I love this! Yes a million times! The show pretends Merlin has some kind of free will and then constantly dooms him with destiny. I don't know how many times I thought, "Couldn't Merlin just, like, tell people stuff?"

Well I'm just tickled pink to see someone picking out the inconsistencies of Kilgarrah. I really didn't like his character, though I think you're portrayal of him is accurate. The critical breakdown of what Kilgarrah's approach actually means was very well handled and the 4th wall jokes were appreciated. This just made me feel all satisfied and vindicated.
