Can't Vitiate just use his unparalleled skill over Force essence to transfer Harry's emotions in some new vessel? At least this way even if Vitiate ends up merged with Harry it would not be able to influence him since Harry would just be an emotionless husk with memories yet no emotions to be able to influence with.
