Aww, poor thing! Can't imagine what that would be like, not recognizing your own back and feeling worthless. Of course, he's not worthless, and Rick and Carol are more than willing to remind him of that.

Okay, him reuniting with Judith was so sweet. I wish they'd show more cute moments with them on the show, because he has a soft spot for that little toddler :)
Also I loved when he was scolding Carl and it said that Carl was scared of him, unlike Negan or his dad. So funny and believable.

xD I really liked how you wrote Negan... knowing his death is comin' and yet still crackin' jokes... somethin' tells me when the writers have the balls to kill him it'll be similar to that.

Also, damn. That was intense, but since you warned us I was prepared. I totally think it's still in character, especially because since season 8 has started we've seen what psychological effects everything has had on everyone... specifically Rick and Daryl. They ARE more violent and merciless so... no, I didn't think that you went too far with the torture scene.

It's okay, my muse is also pretty sadistic xD

Anyways, this is really intriguing. This AU will be fun to read (not in a "happy" fun way... ah you know what I mean :P)

This was such a beautiful story. I know it was completely different to what actually happened but it was wonderful. Daryl and Carol being open with their feelings, but in a way that was right for them - nailed it!

Oh, the angst is strong with this one! I loved the ending image of Carol like a deer in the headlights because I could see why she froze and also why that triggered Daryl. All those similarities that draw them together are also such big relationship stumbling blocks. Excited for the next installment!

Good story! Really enjoy it

I was so happy to see another chapter of this story! I especially loved the discussion they had about all the people Daryl thinks he failed and Carol's wonderful explanation of why they died and how it wasn't his fault. It got me a little choked up. And I can tell you are such a true fan of the show because of the call back to how he snapped at her to hurry up and get on the bike at the fall of the farm. I remember that so vividly. I don't really want this story to end but I hope you will continue to write. I thought I would be disappointed with the no Caryl in the last episode of the show this season but I am actually more hopeful for next season. They need Caryl to raise the ratings. Those are ugly numbers. Thanks again for writing!
