suggestions(probably not good ones though)- maybe instead of giving izuku tech enchantments, you can make him a pro in martial arts, which can give him some amount of super-ish strength, speed,etc.
he can maybe train his brain and reflexes to such a level that he can react to things in less than .5 seconds, and with super intelligence he can come up with a perfect counter attack/stratergy.
and i think if you give him techs, make them have a major drawback, perhaps a 1-time use, or it uses izuku's body energy to fuel itself, takes time to recharge, very hard to use, etc.

Ah I just had an idea for something Izuku could specialize in, his main ability/skill without one for all was his obsession and analysis of other heros quirks so perhaps what he could do would be to use his knowledge to try to create ways of imitating their quirks through technology, for example Present Mic's sound wave, or Katsuki's explosions. Idk its kinda like the support heros stuff but rather than augmenting someone's quirk or being something new it would be imitation... meh now that I've typed it out it doesn't seem as original as it seemed in my mind oh well. Another idea could be to focus on making rescue equipment and techniques rather than combat stuff which is what most of the characters seem to focus on in canon (other than 13 but even then they ended up fighting).

ahh too bad you discontinued this I've been desperately searching for good Quirkless Deku Fics and this looked like it was gearing up to be perfect (no one for all!), I really hope you get some ideas for this and decide to continue one day :)

i see, i understand the problem you have run into, that is actually what i was trying to tell you when i wrote my first review, about him needing a specific theme and skill that both distinguishes his abilities from simply using tech as well as define what his path as a hero and what plot points will he face that are specific to him, boku no hero academia is one of those stories, like one piece, where if you want to make a fanfic about a diferent character or give the main charater a diferent background you need to come up with an entire plotline that goes on till the end of the series that is paralel to the original main plot or replaces it entirely.
not trying to sound smug here though, its entirely up to you if you feel like doing that or not, cant say that i am not disapointed though considering that i was really looking forward to it, but oh well this happens.

That's probably why some people have him go into UA's General department. With the giant Robot as long as he could move the rubble that Uraraka's under (and considering the absurdity that is adrenaline that's not as unlikely as it might sound and amusingly enough would likely eind up with him having temporarily fucked up arms like in Canon) He could likely geab her and run since there was still a ways between her and the robot (for some reason the entirety of his jump-punch-land combo took like 1-2 minutes.) Unfortunately he'd probably get less Rescue points since it wouldn't be as flashy but it might still be enough.

As for the sports festival, while he is stopped by Shinsou and saved by One for All he doesn't actually use it until Todoroki. If he's able to come up with a way to counter Shinsou (heck just play music loud enough that you can't hear him through earphones) then he'd have nothing to verbally respond to and could fairly easily win. He'd still probably lose to Todoroki but I don't really consider that fight a loss in Canon.

The big issue might be Aizawa actually. He'd be quite willing to give Izuku the boot as soon as he finds him quirkless, whether that's him being an ass or wanting to not let him get his hopes up is questionable.

I could see this Izuku getting along very well with Hatsume...

One other note is that it's pretty funny when All Might offers Izuku One for All and Izuku tells him to go fuck himself (I've seen it once and it was awesome).

There's also the option of straying from canon. He literally ended up in the ship disaster zone by pure chance, who's to say he won't end up being one of the ones left at the entrance while Bakugou is sent there instead?

Bravo, man! I really like the premise and applaud you on the good execution of the false lead in this chapter. I really like how you are approaching the angle of the plot right now and think that, currently, this is the most "human" thing around. Because, seriously, all due respect to Pride of Loser but the story's swordsmanship skills are just the same as a Quirk so I would call it exactly Quirkless!Deku AU.

For his weapons, I would suggest him start with something simple like stun batons or something like that. He doesn't have much money so he can't exactly afford onstant supply of projectiles to throw so I think he should stick to things like that. He could modify them a bit to make them lighter and with the feature to combine into a staff. Sort of like Mightwing's weapon in Injustice game.

Storyline wise, you could either have him follow the canon or join other department. I think he could apply to Support and use resources provided to improve his equipment there.

I have other ideas for weapons and such so we could talk if you want.

Spite is an excellent motivator. Keep building it up so you can flip off all those jerks from on high Izuku~

Poor Izuku, he just got his hopes only to have them destroyed. Two days after his Hero told him he couldn't become a hero.

I'm really digging the story so far.

There's one on Ao3 called desperate Measures... as long as you like Izuku x Shouto or are willing to tolerate it for the sake of a story. Granted I wanted to punch Shouto's face in for most of it but if you want more quirkless heroic Izuku that's a good one, though it has some stuff from the Manga so you'd probably need to be caught up there (or at least have learned about the first Big Bad).

Anyway, I liked this start. Even if poor Izuku got his dreams entirely crushed 8 years early. Poor kid.
Hmmm useful tech... if he doesn't get something that lets him fly, or maybe before that he could probably make something to let him climb or walk on walls, just for more maneuverability.

well, you mentione weapons and tech, but i have to add something here, there are countless things that midoria could get that could let him have the power to be a hero, there are only tow issues:
the first issue is that there needs to be a reason why his capabilities are special, anyone can wield a weapon or device, so anyone should be able to be a hero without a quirk, the fact there doesnt seem to be anyone who did this implies that to be a hero in this world you need something only you can do, or at least, a way to do it that is specific to you, a quirk grants that easily, but a skill can also solve that issue if it is something you developed yourself, skills require a lot of time and effort to develop to the point they are exceptionally usefull (wich is why i didnt like that swordsman midoria fanfic very much), and developing something like that is something that a child can scarcely do alone, so regardless of wether he will use a weapon or tecnological devices or both, he would need help, im not saying that he needs to learn a skill someone else developed, but even if he comes up with it himself he would still need someones help to develop it into something usefull, someone with enough specific knowledge to be able to give him direction.
the second issue is that no true hero is a hero without a specific theme, you cant just give someone all kinds of devices to boost their power as much as possible and disregard wether or not they fit with his theme, the only kinds of heroes that can use any kind of gadget are inventor heroes and bilionaire heroes, otherwise not only do you forfeit a theme but its simply not realistic for them to have all those things when noone else has, instead you should give midoria items that interact specifically with his unique skill somehow, also in cannon he made a costume that just looks like all might really, but its still fitting considering he inherited the one for all, since he wont in this fic then his costume should be a little more unique and be related to whatever skill he developed.

Poor Izuku. To have his Hero come out there and destroy his dream no less. I get the feeling if and when Izuku gets to U. A.. He'll consider All Might a broken pedestal. Will Izuku train like Saitama did from One Punch Man?

Damn this can be great, and seriously Izuku's outburst wants to make me cry.

You need to lengthen the fic but not to long. Add more details to them like how the person feels, how he speaks and his expression and posture etc.
