Undoubtably, Baela and Jace need to work on their issues, and soon! Rhaenyra definitely will not allow Baela's behaviour to go on, lest it cause any damage to her reign in future.

Shame about Lord Borros, having become a different man due to the Trial of Seven at Gulltown. And presumably, Joffrey Arryn will need to see if he can win the Royces back by probably promising the hand of maybe, their daughter to his heir.

But it was quite fun seeing at how Alysanne Blackwood deals with her suitors!

Two years to go and Aegon the Younger will be sixteen namedays (with Viserys fourteen).
Presumably, marriages to Thea Celtigar and Myrine Darklyn are awaiting Aegon and Viserys, as are other marriages and births of more children.

I wonder if we're going to maybe see Dalton Greyjoy in future, maybe being a future threat to Rhaenyra's reign. The Red Kraken had began to build longships, forged swords and trained fighters as soon as he was fifteen, and had taken the Seastone Chair, so a war with the Ironborn probably is in the wings...
Plus, there could be a chance for Aemond and Daeron to also get involved in the war, due to the Red Kraken having wanted to sack Oldtown in canon, as part of his plans.

But I do dread the moment when the new Dance of Dragons begins, like maybe the Greens start to feel rejuvernated and maybe attempt to launch a coup of their own.

That is very well written. I like how Rhaenyra ascended peacefully and played nice as much as she disliked Alicent. And Aegon reduced his rinking and whoring? well I think he's gotten a happier life in this timeline too. please take note Aegon the Elder. let Rhae Rhae win. she's a dragon but she's a nice dragon. and what does Alys see in Jaehaera? Is this girl hiding some secret autistic power? I like how Jace solved the marriage puzzle for the Baratheons in a time of relative peace and matched the ladies with better matches. I wonder, with Tyland dead, will Maris still join the silent sisters? I feel sad for Tyland. I'm team black but the way you wrote him, he seems like an ok reasonable guy who looked like a promising husband and treasurer. Then suddenly dead. :P

Well I would say I’m sorry for Deamon’s eye, but then he’s Daemon the rogue prince after all, there is no way he would run away from a good fight, so I suppose this new wound would be a badge of honor for him. That said, I do hope him to be more careful in the future to not risk his life so easily.
Also the root of the problem here I think is that there is no written law regarding to nobility’s succession, thus when traditional way of succession being bent by the will of individual Kings/nobilities, it would be hard to decide which exactly is in the right since there is no law of saying which is wrong. So perhaps you could have Rhaenyra to realize this problem and maybe published a law of succession in her favor, let’s say, that the ruling King/Queen has the right to name anyone as his/her heir so long as they are of the same family, same works with the ’s of course just a suggestion of mine, I’m sure you could think of a far better idea, but ultimately my point is that you cannot always solve problems by the means of trial by combat/seven, sure use the will of the gods is the quickest way to shut people up, but the risk of trial by combat is just far too great, so it’s better to make rules into specific law to make nobilities has to obey it instead of simply ruled the result by the Queen.

Peace may have been achieved in the Vale, but undoubtably things will change for Rhaenyra and her family from here on.

It'd be interesting, him being akin to Aemond who lost his right eye and placed a sapphire in it's place.
I guess that Daemon will later insist on still training (maybe stating that "If Aemond One-Eye can fight, then so can I").

So, does Jacaerys wield Blackfyre? I guess it could make sense that he does, given that he's the Crown Prince and the Hand of the Queen.

Anyways, with the matter of the Vale done with, I wonder what will be next in line for the Queen's reign?
Maybe the Ironborn, led by Dalton Greyjoy aka "The Red Kraken"?
Or does Dalton probably realise that it is folly to contend with dragons?

Or are there more weddings coming, especially since Aegon and Viserys are coming of age? And that Joffrey Arryn is betrothed to Ellyn Baratheon?

Rhaenyra and Alicent are really unlikeable characters.

"1. Ser Criston Cole was originally the Green Knight in my original story. But I felt that would not work since he was such a loyal supporter of Queen Rhaenyra I Targaryen's stepmother; he would have been imprisoned shortly after the Black Conspiracy. So for the rewrite, I replaced him with Ser Arryck Cargyll.

2. Prince Lucerys Velaryon originally challenged the Green Knight as a mystery knight known as "the Black Knight". In that version, Ser Cole tried strangling Luke during a brawl after being defeated by the prince. In the rewrite, Lucerys publicly announces his intent to challenge the mystery knight, and gets his shoulder dislocated during the joust. Also, the Green Knight insults Luke by calling him "Breakbones", whereas in the original chapter, the knight does not say anything to the prince

3. Queen Rhaenyra I Targaryen and her small council had agreed to exile the Disgraced Queen and her family from the Red Keep. The addition of the "Widows Law" in Fire and Blood prevents this from happening. This also allowed for me to add more depth to the relationship between Rhaenyra and Alicent."

That's it, Im fucking saying it. You shouldn't have rewrote the story. It was firmly "better" to start out with and would have remained better with a disclaimer that it was written before Fire and Blood was released. Nobody hardly gives a single fucking flopping shit about the Eric Twins. That Criston Cole went that far, and that a son of Rhaenyra smuggled himself into competition was great.

I sincerely hope there is a different version where the original is kept un shatted on. Why in the fuck would you even DO a rewrite with differences this deep, when you could just...make it separate instead of erasing the original? I'm going to continue re-reading this fic, it isn't bad, but shit like this is excruciatingly annoying.

It makes no sense why Rhaenyra would on a whim force her four year old grandson into such danger as an active war to settle a succession crisis. It seems strongly OOC and completely unnecessary when she's got her son and heir going with her along with four dragons. Baelor is too young to learn any strong lessons so it will be nothing but a waste. Why not take her other sons and prepare them for lordships?

A terrible disease (one that is often said to be the most terrible disease since the Shivers) and now an impeding war in the Vale.

Quite intriguing on how this Arryn succession crisis will go, with the crown intervening to try and avoid bloodshed, but still I dread that it may go sideways and might leave a dark mark on Rhaenyra's reign.

Well, I've been reading this story, and rereading it quite a lot, so needless to say, it's one of my favourites.

And I must say, I rather quite enjoyed the added detail that you've put into the rewrite, further enriching the story as a whole.

I will be definitely looking forward to what comes next, and seeing what more events will mark Rhaenyra's reign before it all comes to an end (I definitely think it'll be some years before the Dance of Dragons happens much later, like maybe after Visenya's wedding to Maelor?).

Please don't rewrite it. What you have written so far has been really enjoyable and high quality, you don't need to rework the entire story just because of a retcon that came after you started. I have seen many ASOIAF fics concerning the pre-WOT5K period that have run into the same issue and most have decided to stick with their previous canon in order to keep the originality that conflicts with material that came after. Hope to see this story update soon and take from where it left off.

I'm so glad i found such a well-written fiction about my favorite part of the ASOIAF History, the Dance of the Dragons. There is suspense, the plot is believable, and we can see that you know very wee Martin's universe. Daemon and Rhaenyra are definitely my favorite characters, even if they have their own flaws, they are two incredibly complex and charistmatic characters. And they truly care for each other, that is for sure. The beginning of the chapter with the loving family was absolutely cute !

Another good point in your story: even if I definitely have a soft spot for the Blacks, I think there is some tendency to caricature the Greens as "the Villains of the story". I really enjoyed that you did them some justice in this chapters, even if I really don't like Aemond I think that Alicent, Otto, Cole and Daeron are fascinating characters. And I really felt bad for Aegon the Elder when he had to renounce his crown, there is so much pressure on home while he is actually just a boy

I am currently reading 8th chapter. I wasn't sure if i should read further because you said you are going to change a lot of things, but now I know that i want to read both version. Hopefully i will finish to read it before you update it. It is a great story. I love it! I love the characters. I really like your Rhaenyra. She is one of my favourite characters in Ice and Fire world, so you can guess why i like your story so much. I hope you won't abandon this fanfic. Best of luck for you!
