Tbh that's how I've always seen the ending.
All four are freaking miserable in Gaiden and the canon ending was so forced the plot popped. What was left of it anyway.

Maybe because Hinata is such a bore that Naruto couldn't help but be bored with her. Sorry, I've never liked Hinata's character, and still thinks Naruto could have ended with someone else. I think this one-shot could fit into a canon, if the canon is more realistic than ideal.

You deserve a praise. Narusasusaku forever! Team 7 will always hold a special place in naruto's heart and NO ONE will ever change or replace that. I hate how hinata got special attention/story in The Last, portraying that she has always been there for naruto when in fact, she didnt even approach him or befriended him when they kids. They made shit up in the movie when in the manga, anime, and numerous flashblacks he always told us that he was alone from the start until iruka came to his life.

Anyways, i love this fic! I'm glad im not the only one who feels this way about the ending of naruto. I've been a big fan of naruto since i was a kid and now.. Seriously, i think they fucked up the ending. They ruined his character.
