Constantly repeating what someone else says but with a question mark At the end makes HP sound rather thick.

First of all, Dresden wears a duster not a trenchcoat. Second of all, Dresden hates Diet Coke. Third of all he barely makes enough to support himself much less two kids. Besides which, does he even have the correct paperwork filed with the Chicago government to be able to look after them?

You read all of the Dresden Files books, and yet you still called Harry‘s black duster a brown trenchcoat?

Damn it, Hagrid! Why does Dumbledore still tell you classified information?!

Now that Murphy knows where the last incident took place, I imagine she’s going to want to talk to Harry and Dudley. I’ve never read the Dresden Files, but Murphy seems like a very by-the-book cop and she’ll probably not be happy with the living situation that Dresden has with the kids. If she keeps digging into the case, she’s going to get tangled up with a threat that’s on an international level.

There’s also the bigger problem that whoever killed Dudley’s parents is already in Chicago (or at least someone who is associated with the murderer). Maybe Dresden will have to change his living arrangements? I wonder if Dumbledore will offer them a place to stay at Hogwarts; it would be the safest place in the world to keep Harry and Dudley safe. But that would probably interfere with Dresden’s work as a Chicago PI.

On a lighter note, the opening scene with Harry, Dudley, and Bob was hilarious! I have a feeling that those poor kids are going to be scarred for life after meeting Bob; I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of damage control Dresden has to do once he gets home. After reading your story, I think I might start reading Storm Front :) I never heard of the Dresden Files before I read your story, and the concept seems really interesting. Thank you for the great chapter!

Well, it is always a pleasure to experience Bob’s wit, which I think you handled well enough. Kinda REALLY wanna know his price for lessonsknowing that spirit, it’s not PG.
This chapter really made me think about how concise a chapter can be when converting from first- to third-person perspective. Makes you think.
I didn’t see that ending coming, but it was absolutely perfect. Especially the final line.
