So sad... You wrote the loneliness well!

So sad! Masako was the right choice for this prompt, her loneliness and craving for fulfilling social interactions are really fitting here. I love how her miserable physical state, drenched and cold and exhausted, perfectly mirrors her state of mind. Feeling frozen, abandoned and out of place. The fangirls with whom she's speaking are like a cold wind on her heart, as their conversation is empty and devoid of any real human warmth and connection. That makes her remembering the warmth and care provided by the SPR family she has once lost even more heartbreaking.

This is such a sad story, and written in such a lovely way that seems to accentuate the pain and pangs of loneliness. The emptiness Masako feels is really well illustrated, especially in her having to borrow boots but not having a spare change of clothes and how she's ostracized from the other girls. I can't help for a part two which would see Masako reaching out and reuniting with her friends at SPR to shake that lonely feeling.

Aww, poor Masako. I can feel such loneliness from this. To some degree, I think she and Naru are like two peas in a pod. They are similar in their isolation from others, not to mention both are snobbishly proud, and I wish they spent more time together and got to know each other better. if only she didn't immediately go into blackmail mode, maybe Naru wouldn't have gotten annoyed with her as much. They both really need a Gene/Mai in their life! I loved this piece! Masako needs more love.
