Wow, I Loved this story so much! Definitely one of my top favorites! Very well written:)

Lol I love the lunch scene in the movie. Every time Beast looks up with tomato soup in his beard, I can’t help but think of that line in Anthony Hopkins’ Hanible Lector “Hello, Clarice...” cracks me up every time! Great chapter! I love how you’ve extended the chapters with your own dialogue. It could have made the movie that much better! Can’t wait to read the rest!

Ahhh I just found this and read it all in one sitting and I loved it! It was such a good analysis of the Beast's character and I could feel the unconditional love he felt for Belle flying off the screen. It was adorable. I loved how you wrote the scenes in the movie and the scenes that weren't in the movie but totally should've been. Amazing work!

This was the movie I desperately wanted to see! I absolutely loved it! My favorite parts of these transformation stories is the "cursed" characters angst and self loathing. I really wished they explored it more in the movie, but all I need to do now is read your story. Please keep writing!

Lovely, and thanks for acknowledging how the change back to human would affect the Beast. It wouldn't be a simple 'new day, new shape' kind of thing. It's almost as though he is recovering from trauma, which is appropriate because he is human, he is sensitive and thoughtful and it takes time.

Hope you continue to write, this alternate story seems intriguing! Of course I'm fortunate, I am still finishing the original! Reading on...

Good transition to the movie, this was very good. I agree with the rope design. Beast was total beast mode here, wasn't he? Perhaps her tears will get to him.

Lovely beginning! I liked the prologue, too. You've gotten his voice very well!

I enjoy getting to know Adam before he was a Beast, there are very few stories like this one. This chapter was distressing in points. He loved his pets very much, both the dog and the horse. But his father encouraged him to beat the horse, which he did, until the point where the horse snapped. That was very hard. Hopefully his reflection on his childhood will show him he can change, that his father can't tell him what to do anymore and he can want to be better. Reading on...

He does have some sweet memories. Looking at the paintings and the portraits in the gallery is unique, I don't think I have seen that written before. I appreciate this richly detailed view into the Beast and his life, his mindset before Bella comes to the castle.

Watching the rose does seem like the most significant way to track time. The rose is the most important measure right now. I had forgotten about the castle falling apart, that's sad too. His anger and lack of manners fits a beast.

The nursery! This is very sad for him, maybe the memories will trigger some hope and some positive thoughts. I don't know.

This is very good. I appreciate the details of the Beast's adjustment to his new body, his senses and thought process. It was a terrible moment as he held Mrs. Potts, fortunately he stopped himself. The rage fits, he has the drive and instincts of an animal and he hasn't learned to manage it yet. Hopefully he will gain control so that he can run the castle. Maybe his memory of his father will help him.
