Dark, daring, addictive. This Alt-Universe OC insert has all of the makings of a great fanfic from the slightly troubled Mary Sue to the inspired possibilities in writing it explores.
This story is immediately on my top ten favorite fics for no other reason than it reminds me of what we all inspired to be once upon a time. Polished and poised, What the Soul Wants delves into what Love truly means and how far across time and space it will travel. With a dash of innocence, a smattering if sexual tension, and dollop of intrigue, this is the gold standard for angsty OC fanfiction. And I enjoyed every last bittersweet sip of it.

My only complaint? Where is the sequel!

For real though, it was super dark at times, sometimes edging on creepy, but I think that was intentional. I enjoyed the adult and polished take on all of our teenage fantasies!

Probably the most terrible first chapter I have ever read in fan fiction. Your choice of hero in this story is equally horribly mind-boggling.

Now to explain my *disappointment*(here trying to amend my mistake for trusting others advices on grammar).
I have been reading several fics and they have been like that. Disappointing.
Be it 100 chapters and 500k words that I do read (mind the almost 17 hours spent) or 2 chapters with only 1k. They are both either incomplete or complete, and both leaves the same amount of emptiness.
Maybe that's why I upload on an almost 3 months basis, but even then I've learned that you don't write for other people. (I do, mind you)
My advice: Write for your own liking, for if you don't like your own writing, and you get so tired of it that you start counting the chapters until you're finished, you'll never feel accomplished.(Lost my train of thought on the advice, thus rendering this comment useless on its purpose :b)

First off it’s so hard to find stories with Snape and a woman of color! I loved this so much I read it in one day! I’d love to know what happens when she tells him she’s pregnant! Gah! Love love love!

I really enjoyed reading this! I hope to see more from you. You’ve written a story I didn’t know I wanted to read. There were some loose ends that I do hope you get around to, and if you do, I’ll ecstatically pursue them!

What? From what i have read it would have been better for her to leave the cat behind since the begining!

What are they even talking about? What changes and what suffering changed?

Also dosent she even realise what she has done? She was aware of the soul bond snape wasnt hurting him and his goals, the thing with nevil as well for if it wasnt for the bond she may have gone with nevil thus treating snape as second best again, just like potter and lily!

The person who was suffering since day one in this story wast the girl but snape! What the hell is going one here! I dont understand what this story is saying.

Where the hell is this coming from? Every one is trying to claim severus is the one at fault here but how? It wasnt his! he didnt even know any thing about the soul bond while the girl knew it since day one! she also was with nevile for some strange reason while knowing about the bond, just like lily and james mind you, treating snape like he was lesser again!
