I’m impressed with how you handled Ed and Scar’s first meeting. They didn’t fight like I was expecting would happen. Instead you see Scar as a more subdued character casually trying to converse with a scared and depressed Edward. It’s a very interesting take and I enjoyed it.

I also love Alphonse reminding Ed of a promise to keep living. If there’s one thing I loved about the series is how Arakawa doesn’t make Ed brood to the point of sacrificing himself for his brother. That’s not good for either Al or Winry in this point of their lives.

I like how you handled the kids experiencing the aftermath of Nina's death. Realistic and makes sense for their psyche since these kids have been through too much already.

Catherine and Winry's moment was sweet too. I like seeing Catherine try to bring some comfort to Winry about Nina being somewhere better.

I don't mind the use of gender neutral pronouns for Envy, as iirc Envy was meant to have an ambiguous gender (or at least their design is ambiguous enough because they can shape shift into different forms). Though truthfully I've never seen the use of "ey" and "eir." I thought they were all typos of "they" and "their," but since you keep using them I suppose they are actual gender neutral pronouns? I don't know much about gender neutral pronouns other than the basics (they, them, their, it, etc.) so I was just curious.

I like that Catherine if comfroting Winry after the Nina incident, it's like seeing a proud yet caring big sister helping her emotional wreck little sister...was that the correct term? IDK

I enjoyed the chapter. I like all the moments you added (especially Nina making Winry a hair clip like how freaking cute is that?). I even liked that you gave Shou Tucker some introspection before his inevitable decision to make Nina a chimera. Like, yeah, I'm sure he loved his daughter, but in the end his thirst for science won over.

I think you did a good job with conveying Edward, Alphonse, and Winry's emotions. Especially like the metaphorical orchestras playing.

I was surprised to see that Winry met Scar this early in the story. Glad to see she's still not a killer even though the moment was very, VERY tempting.

Slight change if I remember right but the Elrics were at Tucker's during Ed's studies to become a State Alchemist but here it is afterwards.

Nina's interactions with Winry were so sweet but so hard knowing what was going to happen. Poor kids. Figured when Winry ran to Nina's room after what happened that she would be present for Tucker's murder. Her falling apart after his armor piercing response is very believable. And she doesn't even know yet that he was the one that killed her parents.

Holy shit. That was beautiful.

This is a very interesting story. I like fanfics that explore what-if scenarios like this, and I think you are handling it very well so far. Winry is one of my favorite characters in the series and while I love how she is written in the original, I like how you are exploring how her personality would have turned out had she experienced what Ed an Al did. It doesn't seem forced.

Also I just love that my brot3 are traveling together and interacting. And I didn't know how I would feel about Catherine being a part of the group but I've grown to like her addition very much. She brings that goofiness to the otherwise serious Elric crew, and her big sister moments with Winry are very nice.

My only criticism is there are some spelling errors, but they don't take away from the overall story imho.

I'm looking forward to how the rest of the FMA story plays out with the changes you are making. Keep up the good work!

So one of the most if not the most heartbreaking moment in the series is up next. Already knowing Ed and Al's reaction, Winry's will be the most interesting.

Only just read this story yesterday and you update. What luck. I wouldn’t call getting a 11,000 chapter out in only nine days after the last as taking too long (if I remember right the story was last updated on the 20th). I would call that a considerable achievement.

Poor Winry. Falling apart like that.
