Yay! You're back! And such an appropriate title for this chapter b/c it made the waiting worth it. :-)

It was nice to have a little refresher with everyone before what is sure to be an epic battle. Phillip and Serena were, truthfully, one of the few parts I liked from OST (b/c we all know who they were really stand-ins for) so it was nice to see them reunited. Also nice to add a little more depth to Jack. I like to think he was telling the truth about his lost love. He's not unfeeling or the fool, he just knows it's smarter to play one. And I know it's wrong to think it, but I would love to have a descendent of Beckett's as a leader of the Navy. It would be very poetic.

It was a good choice after the last couple of chapters leaning heavily on Will's thoughts and feelings to get Elizabeth's perspective on events. It helps to get that other voice that's so different from her husband. Seeing her start to comes to terms with Henry growing up was a good step forward, as was her emerging acceptance of Carina. They'll make a great team someday, one that will definitely keep the men in their lives on their toes. Am I also correct in sensing that perhaps soon there will be a nautical wedding for the two lovebirds? History repeating itself maybe?

I'm glad to hear that you're on the mend. To not be able to write when, if you're like me and ideas pop at a moment's notice, must have been so difficult. You came back with probably your best chapter to date. Very easy to read, but with a lot of complexities at play.

Hey! I am so glad to see you updated it, and do not apologize for taking a little to post it, I am glad you are better now.
I love the way you center this chapter around love and family. I think many adventures stories leave this subjects aside and it saddens me a little, for they both are an essential part of life, either by its presence or its absence. And I am sorry for Jack, but I guess he chose his path and his decisions got him to where he is right now.
I am glad for Serena's return, but I am worried about her well-being on board a ship... can they solve this whole disaster without hurting anyone? What is the price to pay?
I cannot wait to see what will happen next!

Poor Elizabeth, I fear sorry for her because for so long she only had Henry and now that she has Will back and a baby on the way, she is «losing» her reason to be... However it is a good thing that she admits it to be fine and expectable as it shows they have a healthy relationship. How can Henry be so extremely naive and conservative? He does make a good balance with Carina though...
So in the end they managed to find Serena even though the sirens are in deep trouble and our favourite pirates are on the way to confront the navy in order to help them...
Jack is so unromantic that it is commedic: he only cares for himself, or at least that is what he makes the world believe about his person. And I agree with Elizabeth: love is not bad in itself, but it can bring tragedy in its wake.
By the way, if Elizabeth needs new clothes, being the Queen of the Brotherhood, why does she not buy them: she has quite a treasure for herself and her family will in consequence need nothing...
Do not worry too much about the time it takes you to post the other chapters: we all understand that sometimes life can get on the way...
Anyway, like every time, I loved your chapter and hope to be seeing you around here soon.

Well, it may have taken forever to write but it was - as always - worth the wait!

I really loved that you had Will and Henry finally accept that their relationship is never going to be what they thought it would be. They wouldn't have a chance to truly bond fully until they were able to start letting go of the past and understand that there will always be a part of both them that is hurting over what they lost. However, with acceptance of this, they have a shot at a bright future together, which includes loving the new Baby Turner. Don't know why I have it in my mind, but I'm thinking...twins? Boy and girl? Just a vibe I'm getting, feel free to prove me completely wrong.

Speaking of, I love the baby bonding that Will is getting to do. It's so sweet to see him getting to experience something he clearly never thought he'd get a chance to and Elizabeth as well, finally getting to share a pregnancy with someone after being completely alone the first time. She knows, again the circumstances are ideal, but she's forging ahead and letting her family become whole.

As for the lack of action, I honestly think it's better to deal with these emotional struggles first before the actual battles. It really helps solidify what's at stake.

Great job, as always. Can't wait for more!
