Hey, I really love where this 'fic is going so far. I'm impressed! I really zeroed in on the awesome details you provided about Zoey in the study, with its chair and desk and phone. I loved the relationship between her and her dad. You did an awesome job of showing the humor, affection, and trust between them without simply telling us in a statement. In fact, you did a great job of showing instead of telling a lot of things. I personally love the idea of Mike and Zoey being apart for a year and anxious to see each other again. I think you really captured the emotion after the phone call, with Zoey so grinning and bubbly. You really just... /captured/ it. It made me feel bubbly and excited too. Nicely done.

Mike's chapter was really great too. There are so many awesome details here, like him buying that pillow to make things easier on Zoey, and him knowing his mom will buy donuts (and him wanting to eat all the donuts). I'm very intrigued by the little details surrounding him breaking that bunny mug. He held himself together so well, and then... Oh geez, that was perfect. I'm so glad he didn't switch into Chester immediately, and of course, the little things like him mentioning how his back hurts and how he has no memory...

That's a very intriguing discussion with the store clerk he has. I like the way he didn't simply blurt out about his disorder to a stranger, and instead was trying to honestly get some information out of that poor guy. That would be such a terrible and awkward situation to be in, and it's things like that which emphasize the difficulties of MPD. And then Svetlana cropping up in the end was awesome too. While part of me is screaming at Mike to tell his mom in the hopes that she can help him, I can definitely understand his hesitation. He's so confused, and Zoey's on her way... That would be difficult.

This is a very exciting story- not to mention, the title "blizzard" implies such impending doom, even if we haven't reached that plot point just yet. I think your sense of pacing is exactly on point so far. Seriously, it's perfect, and if / when you pick this piece up again, I'll be eager to read what comes next. Thank you for sharing this piece.
