Reviews for The Health Risks of Sleeping
Guest chapter 1 . 3/5/2018
I LOVE IT! I'm really excited to go read your other stories now :)
thisisnotarealaccount chapter 1 . 8/17/2017
Oh gosh, that whole time she was only four... I wasn't expecting that though it really shouldn't surprise me, her level of intellect is crazy and unimaginable. Of course that's how four-year-old Eurus was. Reading medical journals and waiting for her brother to stop breathing. I've got shivers.

That really was sweet. I love Mycroft being that good big brother he always denies that he is. I think you captured Eurus perfectly! - I enjoyed this a lot. It's so heartbreaking that Mycroft still loves her despite everything. Gosh.

Thank you for this!

It was on track to be more than slightly scary. Eurus was probably just such a mixture of little kid and old intellect and no conscience. Brr! No wonder Mycroft turned out the way he did...such a heavy burden to carry around with him and feel responsible for. Poor guy! Bunnyrabbit100

You are exceptionally good at creeping me out with this little girl from the moment Mycroft wakes because he senses danger:

“I was watching you sleep. I was waiting to see if you stopped breathing.”

“And did I?”

“Once, but only for five seconds.” “It was really boring.” Then she begins reciting health statistics like an insurance actuary—with a vested interest. Brrr.

Then you turn her around to sound like a wistful little girl for a moment before gradually returning her back a little maniac that Mycroft’s afraid to make angry because of the fallout to the family and Sherlock in particular. For a brief moment you care for her, the rest of the time you hope that she doesn’t have a knife behind her back.

I seriously doubted that Mycroft got anymore sleep after that conversation unless he moved the dresser in front of the door.

Very good story. Very creepy little girl.

I enjoyed this story! It was a kind of insight into more of Eurus's character.
gopadfoot chapter 1 . 8/14/2017
I really enjoyed the way you wrote Eurus. The child who killed age six, must have been pretty messed up at age four.
I love the way Mycroft saw her sad smile, and thought she finally looked like a child. She was, in a way, a lonely, scared little girl, who was ruined by her psychosis.

I so love the last sentence. It totally sums up your beatiful version of Mycroft
Analena chapter 1 . 8/14/2017

Pert0697 chapter 1 . 8/14/2017
This was so cute, the end so touching and my gosh, my heart actually swelled
KaterinaRedbird chapter 1 . 8/14/2017
Great story! I love kidlock stories, but kid Eurus is just as creepy as adult Eurus. I don't know how Mycroft slept in peace knowing Eurus was near by, but I guess at this point there weren't aware of what Eurus is actually capable of...
