Man. It's been a while since a fresh HijiTae fic appeared and this is greatly written. How you described that scene, the place, all and all... this story felt real. And of course, that Tae reaction when a soldier died in her arms. It's traumatic in real life. I like Hijikata and Tae's conversation, it's so mature. I like how you explained Tae's side re: how she feels about Kondo. 3 3
