To answer Naginifay: I'm already working on a sequel to "Icheb." It will be called "Destiny." Since it will follow Icheb's story through "Endgame" and include events that occur after Voyager's return home, I will probably post it in chapters, just the way I did here.

Let me take opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all who have reviewed this story, and to anyone who should review it from now on. It's very encouraging to know that people are reading a story you've written, and also like it! Thank you all so very much. - jamelia
NaginiFay chapter 33 . 9/21/2017
I really enjoyed this story. Do you plan on continuing and writing more from Icheb's point of view?

Lovely ending to the story! Icheb may have lost Mezoti but knowing that his relationship with Seven will be formalized clearly helped. His thoughts about choices and loss in the last couple of chapters really played out nicely. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story!
tmtcltb chapter 32 . 9/20/2017
I forget how young Icheb really is. The idea that he might only be 14 is crazy, and yet most likely accurate. The scene with Seven is one of my favorites.
tmtcltb chapter 30 . 9/20/2017
Reading this from Icheb's perspective really forces you to see how scary the future he was facing was, one where he was the only Borg on Voyager. It makes his rather desperate act to save Seven that much more understandable.
tmtcltb chapter 29 . 9/20/2017
The conversation between Icheb and Naomi was really nicely done. I never think of the two of them interacting but they were, for the most part, the only children on Voyager. So it makes sense that they would have spent time together even after the twins & Mezoti left.
Six of Twelve chapter 33 . 9/18/2017
Nice to see one last visit with Mezoti, even though it was bittersweet and brought a tear to my eye.

I don't know why they didn't have Seven adopt Icheb on the show, but you addressed that nicely here. It's too bad he and Seven can no longer communicate subvocally any longer, Icheb is Borg. He will adapt. Mezoti, too, will adapt to living on Wysanti.

I hate to see this wonderful story come to an end, and hope you'll write something new soon.
Six of Twelve chapter 32 . 9/18/2017
Seven definitely was more of a mother to Icheb than Yifay was and I'm glad you pointed it out, as it seems that Icheb realizing this helped him to ain closure about his parents, something he needed to do so he could look forward.
Six of Twelve chapter 29 . 9/18/2017
I'd always wondered if Naomi had shared the Flotter program with Mezoti and wished they'd shown them doing that as part of an episode. And, of course, Naomi was missing her first friend as much as Icheb missed her.
TrekDr chapter 30 . 9/18/2017
This work continues to be most enjoyable to follow. Icheb's viewpoint, particularly over the loss of Mezoti, is interesting.
Six of Twelve chapter 28 . 9/17/2017
So sad to see Mezoti go, especially because she had such mixed feelings about. She was much closer to Icheb than the twins; they shared a special bond, almost as if they were actual siblings. Looking forward to the next chapter.
tmtcltb chapter 28 . 9/16/2017
That ending really got me. The additional subcommunication was so perfect and the emotions were exactly right. The twins were so wrapped up in their own world, Mezoti really is leaving behind the people who care most about her and I think she knows that.
tmtcltb chapter 27 . 9/16/2017
You have set the stage for Mezotti's departure very nicely. I still can't say that I like the decision but am enjoying seeing it unfold.
tmtcltb chapter 26 . 9/16/2017
The interaction you've established between Icheb and the broader crew is very nice. I thought his talk with B'Elanna was in character and also very nicely written. I also enjoyed reading the details of the wedding from Icheb's perspective.
