“... launched herself off the top of the coffee table like a flying squirrel.” The imagine of Mary doing this had me snort in a laugh while drinking, and I ended up choking. Water, snot, tears, choke-laugh-crying... the husband rushed in thinking I was dying. It was my fault, I knew better to drink when a story has been cracking me up from the get go. Thank you!

This was indeed funny.

Totally exaggerations of their characters, but the hilarity of it all made up for it. It was a delightful read. Really loved Mary. And, of course, I always love Lestrade.

Great story...shame this didn't happen in the series! Although then we wouldn't have had the whole 'meat-dagger-with-a-fork-through-the-hand' thing that was, admittedly, pretty funny in itself. :)
