kandilyn chapter 1 . 3/21/2018
Good way for a Dean to tell the truth. Lol. Hope Sam found that good luck charm. Thank you for sharing.
Ginza chapter 1 . 3/20/2018
Oh geez, this... this is wonderful! I can't believe I've never read any of your stuff before (at least I don't think so) I just stumbled onto this and oh my, I'm so glad I did. You write these boys so well! You had me laughing so very hard at Dean and Sam trying to get their story straight and back and forth about who was bitching. It all felt so very true to character, and I especially loved Dean at the end raising his voice where the paramedics could hear!

You did an amazing job with this and it's going in my faves, and I imagine I'll be spending the next few days going though the rest of your stuff! Thanks for sharing this little gem!
LunaBianca chapter 1 . 1/26/2018
Excellent imagery; I am smitten with the fleshly pulpit and chrome cathedral lines.

The banter and internal narrative flow well, and Sam's medical assessment/ministrations layers in plenty of emotion without stiff jargon or ridiculous sentiment.

All of the bitching back and forth about bitching! I love it! Thank you for sharing. :)

writeroneday chapter 1 . 11/2/2017
As always your writing prose is excellent, as it has been since the beginning. The words come alive and give a visual picture in my mind.
grea8read chapter 1 . 10/9/2017
This was great! I love the whole, you were bitchin', no make it you were. Great how Dean gets it so its Sam bitchin' in the end. Loved every word!
Mariamo chapter 1 . 9/16/2017
Absolutely perfect, as always. :)
NoilyPrat chapter 1 . 9/15/2017
CornishGirl, you really did yourself proud. Love the whoompage on Dean, especially the femoral artery. Yikes! But Dean's stubborn enough to sit there and argue about a story. I laughed thru Sam's story, and then laughed all the harder when Dean used the story and embellished it to his way.
Besides the interaction between the brothers (that I LOVED), and Sam's treatment of Dean (loved the details about 120 lbs on the artery, and that Dad taught them this, and he's 100 lbs heavier - plus the mental screaming for the ambulance to hurry up!) ... the small details of Dean's blood pumping out into the ground, soaking it up, and soaking up thru the fibers of Sam's jeans, to resist all cleaner of hydrogen peroxide ... how Dean just knows when he's lost that much blood... awesome!
roslyngrl chapter 1 . 9/11/2017
Bleeding out and STILL arguing about whether its a bear or a big cat and neither of them knowing if those things even live in the area where they are. So very Winchester! Great story. Thanks for writing.
K Hanna Korossy chapter 1 . 9/11/2017
That was great. I love the story-Dean making sure his wins-and Sam's awesome first aid and his needing to clarify they're brothers. Most of all I love the simplicity of this scenario after all the world-ending stuff they've been through.
JaniceC678 chapter 1 . 9/6/2017
This was a great bit of hurt Dean! I usually gravitate to hurt Sam, but I do love to change it up once in a while and have him being the one desperately trying to save Dean. I will have to check out more of your stuff.
mb64 chapter 1 . 9/5/2017
This is great!

bagelcat1 chapter 1 . 9/4/2017
Amazing - and I too found the show on Netflix, the summer before season 10 and binge-watched the 1-9 in time for season 10 to start. I really enjoyed this look at hurt Dean and protective Sam - a favourite story plot for me. The banter felt realistic, as did the worry and the fear. And Baby as a good luck charm - very cute. Good job. Thanks for another great story. Happy anniversary!
akaStoryteller chapter 1 . 9/4/2017
This was fantastic! Pure perfection as far as I'm concerned!
waitingforAslan chapter 1 . 9/4/2017
Nice (and gross) detail of Sam kneeling in Dean's blood, feeling his jeans wicking up the moisture. "Couple of quarts low, maybe, but hardly empty" - car metaphors are very apt for Dean. All those made-up stories would have to have been annoying for them: they must often appear inept or foolish for wandering in the woods or trespassing in abandoned houses, and then they end up looking like cheaters for having fake insurance. Hard to put your life on the line for, not only no credit, but actual blame or criticism. "Banshee" was a great adjective to use for the siren. I'm similar to you: I binge-watched seasons 1 through part of nine, then have been watching the rest in real time. "Mangle" - what a word! (Don't you just love language, the range and power of meanings, the connotation and denotation and even gut reaction to the SOUNDS of certain words? OK, now I'm being a total word nerd.)
