...i had assumed you simply misspelled Ares, as in the greek god of war. the mad king's name was Aerys, not Aires.

I have seen many so called "Harry Potter"s given what the author believes to be a cool name and personality but still call them Harry as a diminutive even if it makes no sense whatsoever. The reason is as you can guess to create a clickbait by doing a so called crossover with the most popular fandom ever, HP. But these stories are nearly always a waste of time to read, and among the lower quality works of fiction in this site.
Please for gods sake don't create an edgy 7 feet tall character with a name like "My name is Mordenkainen Dragonbane but my friends call me just Harry" Yeah you are fooling no one.

A whole lot of words dealing with a whole lot of nothing. The story basically hasn't moved an inch since it started.

I understand setting the scene, and building drama, but these inner monologues could really be cut by half or more. also, is he HP reborn, or just a random kid born with magic?

review cut off for some reason. for me, I feel too much time is spent on descriptive backstory,setting the scene, and establishing the frame of mind of the characters. all of which could be discerned thru their interactions while advancing the story. then again. I usually prefer a fast pace, where the author forces the audience to keep up
