Aw :) I like reading stories when bad guys turn out to be decent guys. I personally wouldn't know how to keep Kuro in character while making him seem like a nicer guy deep down, but this seems pretty convincing to me. I also like how when he declined Luffy's offer of friendship, he called Luffy by his name :) And Luffy respected Kuro's wish to keep it on the down low awww Thanks for this!
