| Shiko-Rae chapter 6 . 1/2 I first read Red Queen a while ago, came back to re-read it after remembering how phenomenal it was, and blitzed through all your content for that story. Which is why I'm of course dismayed that you haven't updated its sequel in some time. The Klaroline relationship is wonderful, the perfect push-and-pull that's settled into something surprisingly sweet since they're both in a place where they can care and admit they care deeply for one another. You also still manage to keep all the other characters three dimensional and likable (even Damon, to a point lol). This whole series has been wonderful from start to finish, and I'm immensely appreciative of this Caroline who's able to grow and show her capabilities properly rather than being in the shadow of other characters. I also love that you don't make her perfect, like her decision to not even attempt to tell Klaus of a possibility that he could have blood children. Ugh just all in all this story was amazing and wonderful and I have some hope that since you're cross posting on AO3 that time and inspiration may see you return to this piece. Thanks for sharing it with us! |

| rebbecca1 chapter 6 . 2/7/2019 Sorry for the late review. I was afraid my favorite Klaroline fics would be abandoned since the end of TO but I'm so glad to see this one continues! I hope it goes on with this part and part 4. Anyway, on to the review of this chapter... I loved it! From Klaus' surprise of the house to Matt's new vampire life. I loved that Rebekah included him in their "we take care of our own". Klaus and Caroline's dinner was great. Going Halloween candy shopping was a little weird but it worked in context and worked well to bring up the subject of his thoughts about kids. |
