Here I go again rereading this story. I don’t think I’ll dver get bored of it though, no matter how often I read it.

On a side note, if you see this I was just asking if you are feeling okay since you seemed to have missed this week along with the week before last. Just hoping everything’s fine, sorry if I’m intruding.

Can I just say that Erika is literally me, not only with this fandom, but any fandom.

I’m sorry, but yes I’m now rereading mines and yours the beginning since I got tired of rereading Mines and Yours evolution. I just have to say that Izaya would probably want to slap his old stuff for only thinking about using mikado for his own means. Sorry, I just couldn’t resist.

*Sighs heavilly* I will pretend very hard that Celty's homophobia is because she's an old relic from the uk and somehow stuck in the dark ages... Cuz Japan is not the least bit against gay people. Heck, several famous generals (and possibly an emperor, not sure) had a male lover...

The secrecy makes sense at least, but only because of Izaya being Izaya. And Mikado friends with Izaya's main hater(s).

But your story is too damned good to stop reading over one annoying faulty detail. Even a reoccuring one.

Out of curiousety... Where have you been that people knock into eachother like that? I've never even experienced that at rushhour on the London metro (subway train) even, and people always rush and is packed tightly in the train and there's always a que even so. I would imagine japan was actually less bad, since they're more polite and considerat. (Tho I suppose I'll find out in a few months qhen I go to Tokyo myself. )

Fun fact! Avrage amount of vacation days in japan is 10 days per year. And you are supposed to take only a single day off at the time. (A foregner took a week off, and was yelled at for being inconsiderat. *Chuckles* And they cut foregners ALOT of slack...)

And, as the sayong goes 'Evil never sleeps'... most criminal work don't get any vacation days off. The job tends to find you. Remember when Shinra tried to stay home with Celty? Lol

And you can't say no to the Yakuza, or you'll risk life and limbs... not to mention how much your reputation would suffer. And reputation is what gets you customers to begin with.

Wow. A two bedroom apartment in Tokyo? That's like 4mill dollars worth or more. Then again, Izaya IS filthy rich. Lol

Shinjuku IS a ward within Tokyo, but Ikebukuro is within a ward called Toshima.

But PLEASE fix the 'Going to tokyo from a part of tokyo problem'... it sounds a bit funny. Like saying you're going to new york from Central Park, or going to London from Soho. (Whichever country you are most familliar with.)

Um, you DO know that Ikebukuro is a ward IN Tokyo, right? Or is it a spelling error...? Oo

As is Shinjuku, for that matter. They're both in Tokyo.

I will be higjly amused if they end up using the super-common love hotels tho... some of them are pretty damned funny. *Snickers* Like the Jurassic Park themed, or the medevil dungeon themed one, compleat with SM rooms. XD

Tho most are just opulent and nice.

But I LOVE how good you are at using subtlety and keeping the characters IN-character!

Just an fyi; homosexuality IS accepted in japan...always have been, than in the west even, as it lacks the religious stigma to it there. (With less than 1% cristians)

But they DO have a looooong history of putting Obligations over their own feelings. And one of those social obligations is the expectation to marry and have children. And traditionally marrige was created foor the sake of the children, NOT the parents. (As well as the unifying of families and so on) And japan has a serious resistance to change, which is likely why they don't allow gay marriges (as far as I know, haven't actually checked.)

But they DO have this whole 'don't touch in public' thing. Now... I can see Izaya not giving a damn, but Mikado would be embarassed, and people would stare; Not because they're two guys so much as because it's considered indecent.

Of course, in their special case, secrecy makes sense, because;
1; Izaya's plans may depend on it. And
2; Mikado would be inn for a shotstorm from worried people, especially Kida, but soon enough Anri, and they both REALLY hate Izaya too...

So yeah... Your story is really good, but I felt you might want to know a few gay facts.
(Bad pun, I know. Lol)

Mikado is so deluded. *Chuckles* That girl exhibits every single trait of a stalker that exists. She clearly is one. And the fact that she TRULY love him, and would risk her own life to save him is 100% normal for an obsessive stalker. It IS why they're stalking people after all. (Those of them who stalk the person they love I mean.)

Anyway...

Your story is quite brilliant thus far. I especially love how you keep Izaya...more or less true to his own delightfully wicked, scheming self.

Most people don't seem to understand that Izaya would still play his little games, even with someone he loves -he's done it for so long that he proboably couldn't stop if he tried, not that he would want to try when he can manipulate his lover to accept his view instead- but YOU get it!

Yay! What a way to end a part one. Sometimes I feel like Izaya could make a really good yandare character. He's very imature with love emotions so it wouldn't be much of stresh. So with that please update soon with part 2.
