Neo is really on a dangerous spiraling mindset now that Torchwick is gone and she believes Ruby killed him, and even if she knew a Grimm ate him, she'd still want revenge on Ruby and Cinder alike for causing his death all the same. It's impressive she beat Adam, but I can see why she let Blake and Yang go for now, wanting the injured ones to lead her to her prime target in Ruby and the missing teammate, Weiss. Now though, she has a new target, Pyrrha.

Pyrrha's conscience is truly heavy in this chapter, so much time thinking and wallowing in her guilt, her sorrow, unable to meet Jaune's eyes after hurting him and keeping secrets, and on top of that the power of the maiden transferred to Cinder because they waited so long...It all weighs on her like a pile of heavy crosses that she struggles to keep from crushing her.

Blake meanwhile, fought bravely as she could against the monster who she had once loved, but he was too much for her hesitant heart to take on one on one.

Oh crap...Pyrrha's mind and conscience truly are her worst enemies in this chapter, but Blake's side is not easier as she struggles with her morals and having faith Yang isn't going to be like Adam. Poor Pyrrha even lashed out and hurt Jaune, and Blake has tried to comfort Jaune, only for him to feel hurting by his own decision to open his heart to Blake like he's making a mistake? I guess he is afraid to open his heart in such a way right now...not that I blame him.

Damn...Neo tried to flee even when Jaune managed to convince Blake, Yang(barely), and Pyrrha(Very reluctantly) to hear Neo's side of the story. Ended up having to fight Blake and Yang, proving while Bumble Bee is a solid team, they aren't invincible in taking down Yang first in a state she can barely fight back. Before focusing on Blake who definitely held her own against Neo pretty well, but thankfully before Neo could kill her or start torturing her Jaune showed up with a briefcase of things Neo really wanted to escape with.

Poor Jaune truly had his heart broken...and has no idea of Pyrrha's invasion of his privacy, never will likely now that the photo was erased. Guess she's finally come to the point she rather take the pleasant lie than risk a painful truth anymore.

I'm happy to see Blake open up to Jaune about her history with Adam some, to let him know despite how hurt and angry he is, that she knows how he feels...and will be here for him. He needs it after this heartbreak.

Neo coming to Cinder certainly makes sense, Roman is all Neo has now and she'll do anything to get him back...

I knew this shit wouldn't end well, NOT in the way I expected, but definitely in a way that would cause Neo to be built up and expecting happiness with Jaune, only to be crushed in a betrayal that in truth is just one big misunderstanding.

Pyrrha's reaction and digging was sad to see, but very justified given her strong feelings for him and her overwhelming feelings of suspicion of who the Neo that Jaune befriended truly is. Worse, she planned a damn good trap for Neo with only Yang and Blake as back up.

Good name for this chapter...Trust. How trust is built and rewarded through genuine care and love, but can also be broken over misunderstandings or going behind someone's back.

Oh damn...this really did a good job giving us a peek into Neo's past, during the train incident and what Neo was doing after fleeing from Raven. Smart move on her end, but led to a lot of trouble of dodging for her life and hiding in plain sight to avoid being caught by the cops like Cinder, Mercury, and Emerald did to Roman for their plans.

She had one hell of a hard life and it's nice to see some parts of Pyrrha and Blake into this. Blake for her conflicting feelings of ending the threat Roman is or continuing with her own envisioned way of redemption of only killing in dire circumstances of life and death situations.

Pyrrha meanwhile is busy missing Jaune after he runs off to find his "friend" and ease her after receiving texts she is scared and not okay. As she talks to Yang more pieces start to fit in and is growing more worried, needing to find this Neo Jaune knows and see if she is related to the criminal working for Torchwick or not. Not just out of jealousy, but a need to do her duty as a huntress and protect her partner from possible danger.

Well, she's going to be in for a surprise if she finds Neo's home...where Jaune had spent the night with Neo solidifying their new and growing relationship I would dare say...Oh boy...This won't be pretty.

Well shit...Can't blame Jaune for being shellshocked that Blake kissed him and for Blake to quickly catch on it wasn't HER he was talking about earlier. Poor girl slept that night with bitter tears over failed love with Adam and how Jaune's words unintentionally reached deep to her soul. Now with an interest in him no matter how she tries to ignore it.

Even having Sun over to the party in hopes of avoiding thinking about Jaune, which is an understandable move on her part.

I really feel for Pyrrha, but man she hesitates WAY too freaking much in canon and this thought process of her's is like hyper analyzing to the point of hesitating more times than taking action. Still, at the dance Jaune finally got a chance to shine when he was going to scold Neptune, but instead got some one on one heart to heart talk with Pyrrha about how her fame made it hard to find anyone to be with romantically.

It's truly lonely at the top on a pedestal.

Then comes the dress~ Jaune the goof and lovable blond gone and wore one just as he told her, before sharing an awesome dance the school will definitely remember~ While unknowingly making Blake's heart beat fast seeing the lengths he will go for those he cares for. Before Sun told her some interesting information about lipstick he noticed on Jaune the night they was fighting Roman in the Atlasian Paladin. Something that will make Blake more curious who this other lady in Jaune's life is.

Pyrrha finally got to have some wonderful time with Jaune and got to hold his hand in a innocently cute way, but for her, one of the most daring things she's done with him yet. Poor girl really makes me want to help her and yet drives me nuts!

Overall, a good story. I just have one point of criticism: the story really lacks dialogue, like seriously, the amount of conversations in this story is almost non-existent and it just makes the story seem a lot less able to convey the feelings of the characters since all I see is just plain narration. Still a good story though, I hope to see you improve.

Wow, just, Wow! I've just spent uh... 9 hours doing nothing but reading this story from start to finish. What an incredible roller-coaster of emotions - the characters felt so realistic - you could understand where they were all coming from and it's just tragic that the circumstances of life conspire to cause misunderstandings and hostility. One thing I like was that this story was plotted out - it had its intentional arcs and character developments that eventually all came together in such an epic ending. Man, for a second I really thought Phyrra was going to die, Neo was going to become irredeemable and that Blake, Jaune and everyone else was going to lose big time. But then everyone got together and in the midst of their lowest points managed to find hope. I guess I'm just a sap, but hard-earned happy endings are some of the most wonderful things in fiction. The harem ending was interesting because the romance is portrayed pretty realistically and harems are generally extremely unrealistic and/or have a lot of unfortunate implications for gender roles - but so long as it's just PEOPLE loving each other, I don't see why gender should matter: man with multiple women, woman with multiple men or a combination of those (or any other gender you want to throw in), it's ultimately just people. The mind melding thing is a little heavy handed but I also understand that this story followed a specific arc structure and you wanted the conflict resolution to be tied to the finale. Extending things out way beyond the finale to show a more "realistic" progression in PBNJ's relationships would definitely result in a lame, unsatisfactory ending - so I really don't begrudge the use of that plot device; and honestly, understanding one another and accepting each other for who you are is basically how you deepen a relationship anyway so the memory sharing thing is kind of just a condensed version of that. I'm ultimately really happy with the ending though - it all worked out (more or less) for our heroes - love is love and so long as it's true and strong I think it should be nurtured in whatever way it forms. The idea that only ONE person can be chosen never sat right with me because it means someone always loses - its nicer when everyone can win. Sorry for the rambling - I doubt you'll even see this, but I just had to share how much your story moved me.

Holy shit this chapter made me a happy man for Knightshade! So beautiful in how these little things all led to the finale of this chapter.

Pyrrha becoming suspicious of Neo and how Jaune talked of her made her incredibly suspicious at first. Wanting to compare Neo to the one she heard RWBY talking about that worked with Roman, but yet...finding it hard for a shy girl to work with the criminal in the end as time went on.

Neo managing to convince Roman to take her with him to Mount Glenn when the time comes, but he gave her a few days to get whatever she needs done out of the way. Allowing Neo to take Jaune out to Junior's Dance Club for a dance. One that Neo found herself enjoying and yet wanting to learn HOW to dance to avoid being outdanced by Jaune again. Yet secretly, wondering how long she can keep dancing this double life she is forming with both Jaune on one side and her life with Roman on the other.

Poor Pyrrha...she truly showed her true love for Jaune in letting him go to confess his love to Weiss by giving him solid advice that his father really should have told him. Even though it killed her on the inside to tell the man she loved so deeply to confess his feelings to another girl. Shame for her though, once again Blake came up the unexpected dark horse in this situation.

Having taken a walk to find time alone from her friends and Sun who wanted to go with her to a dance that she wanted no part of, not with Roman on the loose and the White Fang working with him. She overhears Weiss talking to Neptune...and Jaune walking away heartbroken as he lets Weiss have her moment with Neptune.

I truly felt for Jaune in that moment, even though I never understood how he kept chasing Weiss when she disrespected him so much before...I did feel for him in that moment when watching the series, still do in this chapter.

Thankfully, Blake came to talk to him, to give him comfort after all of his genuine kindness without seeking anything from her. Blake was not one to forget a debt and yet...as she listened to him talk of his feelings of having loved...and lost, twice.

Yet funny thing, I don't think Blake realized the "other girl" he was talking about was Neo, but rather she assumed he was talking about HER. Ahh...it's beautiful and ironic how perfectly his explanation of Neo matched up with Blake, well done sir/madam!

That forehead touching thing where Blake showed Jaune comfort, concern, affection, and mostly...love. Trusting her instincts and heart, she claims his lips under the moon bathed in black! I pray he doesn't screw this up, but this is Jaune, so I can only hope he doesn't screw up TOO badly. A small mess at the very least is something I can expect from him.

Huh, Kindness is a good name for this chapter.

Really gets into how each one of Jaune's interests are reacting to his kindness and gestures to them.

Pyrrha in how she wants to be the only one receiving his kindness on an intimate level and feeling frustrated there are other he hangs around or thinks about.

Blake in trying to deal with her conflicted feelings toward Sun's sincere kindness and interest in her, thinking of her own deep love's history with Adam had bit her in the ass. And now how Jaune was genuinely kind to her without ANY expectations or desire for something from her in return. How it caught her attention and she can't shake him from her mind.

Neo, in being self conscious in how SMALL her circle of friends, family, or more is. How she tried to figure out the best way to interact with Jaune, dealing with jealousy of his affection for Weiss as he explained her, and reluctance in leaving him when she needed to return to Roman. Even left him a little kiss on the cheek, good thing it was Sun who saw that and not Pyrrha.

I fear she would have gone FULL ON yandere for that or be dangerously close as she becomes more hostile toward other girls near Jaune again.

Neo being scared as Roman hugs her, that's a new one, but I guess that is her mind thinking what life does she truly want to live when given a choice. It's easy to get used to something when you feel it's your only path, but when presented with something else you are growing interested in too...yeah, it's kinda scary. Now Pyrrha is making it her mission to find out about this Neo that Jaune saw tonight and if she is connected with Roman Torchwick like she believes.

So Jaune and Neo got a little time together, kinda cute and sweet. Though Neo sneaky as ever was looking for anything she could find on her targets who makes things hard on Roman through Jaune. Only to find herself surprised at how...Jaune isn't afraid of her different colored eyes or bothered by them. Even finding herself wishing him well after he runs off when he finds out he is late getting back.

Yup, Jaune's generally kind nature is proving to be something these girls need.

Pyrrha however is getting closer and closer to showing signs of becoming a yandere as her possessiveness is getting stronger. As well as her ire toward other girls who are on his mind or gain his attention. Weiss she dismisses because she sees Weiss has zero interest, Ruby, Blake, and now Neo as she learning of is still up in the air and to the champion's mind...are threats to her happily ever after dreams.

Really, she needs to stop expecting him to catch hints and make the damn first move herself if she wants results. Still, as someone who is a fan of Knightshade, I do find this amusing how Pyrrha is shooting herself in the foot with all this waiting, but as an Arkos fan I find myself wanting to shake her and yell how she is screwing up. It's a interesting experience and I thank you for making it believable for me.

Speaking of Blake, I really feel for the poor woman, her mind is literally in a hundred places, between her growing interest for Jaune, noticing Pyrrha's oddly hostile glares toward her when around Jaune, Weiss's attitude with Jaune, her mixed feelings between Sun and Jaune, and finally the White Fang working with Roman Torchwick leaves her mentally draining and unknowingly putting herself through the ringer of exhaustion if she doesn't get some rest and relax.

Neo meanwhile is understandably worried about why Jaune hasn't talked to her in the last FIVE DAYS, like holy shit not one message? Damn, he must have a busy schedule or had a bad case of forgetfulness to wait that long. Still, her worries for Roman working with the White Fang again is understandable and I don't blame her making it DAMN CLEAR she is NOT letting him go to that rally alone, wanting to back him up in case they try to back stab him again.

Before that though, Neo will go see Jaune who contacted her JUST after she got what she wanted from Roman to let her come with him to the Rally. Bad timing indeed...for Roman~

Jaune unknowingly made things easier for Blake and Sun.

I like the idea of this Neo. Eye contact being very important to her because people are usually so off put by her eyes.

11/10 Would save tragic heroines again.
