in Vietnam the soldiers dug pits that had spears covered in their feces at the bottom, so when the an american soldier fell in the wound would get infected and they would die. fun fact!

Little side note; in the last chapter, Eclipsa did call him by his first name. Might've been a mistake considering she did not know it in this chapter.

Wow great story read the whole thing like 3 times. I really enjoy these stories that make Marco a bigger character. Also love the believable characters. Once again great story.

Well this was pretty damn awesome. I hate where you left it but I do see you have written a sequel I believe.

I love that you kept Marco as the Dark Knight even when Hekapoo and Star were attacking him. He still did it all for her. Even in his exhausted state, he could have probably struck Star down. Some other lesser fics have that happen in a poorly done way. The way you did it keeps Marco righteous and fuels that drive going forward at the same time.

Can't wait to see where you go with it.

It took 4 chapters but now I'm hooked. I like your portryal of Marco. He's frustrated and sad but not bitter. I don't like a lot of the stories that just have him jump to being evil because Star is dating Tom and he can't have her. That's super petty for Marco.

The dead Knight and not-toffee guy (forgot his name, forgive me) add a mysterious element to the plot. The blood moon goddess angle is also very interesting. Then of course there's Eclipsa. So much potential going on here.

Star is a bit of a minor gripe in that she's much more aloof to Marco than she's shown in the Canon. Regardless of their romantic relationship, I feel Star would drop everything if she thought Marco was in danger. So her not performing the spell on Marco while probably practical and safe doesn't feel like a Star move.

But there's a lot more to read. Very interested now to see where this goes.
