Reviews for Raw
shadowgirl999 chapter 1 . 4/16
So good. Could you make a full-on Slave Leia story soon? There are so few of them on this site that are any good.

Ohh I loved this one. The fact that Leia was so upset but Han only wanted to comfort her. Thank you!
FroofyB chapter 1 . 12/2/2017
Good story. I always thought about what torture Leia went through with Jabba. I never really pictured any rape, I mean he's a slug (in more ways than one) but I KNEW he must have done something to her. But I loved how you brought in the effects of a metal bikini. I also loved the way Han comforted Leia, letting her know it was alright to crumble. This story you wrote showed a deeper love between them and I loved that!

Good job
Kondoru chapter 1 . 11/23/2017
It was a good fic with out being squeamish or emotional.

Leia doesnt get mad; she gets even.

And she doesnt despair...she fights. But I suspect even she has hopeless times.

Hard to read, but well done.
Sofie.C chapter 1 . 11/23/2017
I hate to think about what possibly has happened to Leia while she has been Jabbas slave, because it is just so painful. But it would be illusionary to think, nothing did happen besides being forced to wear that nasty outfit, being chained to gigantic, bad smelling mucus plug and fear for the lives of your friends as well as your own. Which is bad enough thing in itself ...

So despite hating the topic, I rather enjoyed reading "Raw", because you have managed to address the topic in an caring and empathic manner. Plus you have turned a difficult and painful issue into a story which gives proof of the deep and profounding love mutually shared by Han and Leia.
As hurtful as it has been to see them like this (Leia being physically and mentally marked and Han filled with anger, guilt and shame - because she got there because of him) it also felt true and real and deeply touching to follow their interaction. Because you made them being open towards each other, being able to talk about it, having a serious and honest talk and share their deepest feelings.

To me a key sentence is this one:
"A brief silence passes over them as Leia takes a deep breath and tries to continue. She cant stop now. Its if she has opened a flood gate She needed to talk about this and she cant keep this to herself." It is because it says that Leia is aware, it would not do her any good to be silent about this and I think, she has also been aware it would be good for their relation to deny what happened. Because doing so, would have meant to exclude Han, which is never a good thing do. It also shows how far Leia has come, because she is able to express herself openly and to completely trust someone - so very different from Hoth Leia ("I dont know, what you are talking about...").

I also loved you made Han approach the topic carefully, but openly. He is pained by what happened to Leia because she came for him and because he is more a man of action than of words (though he found appropriate words here) he takes care of Leia and her injuries in the most tender way.
Plus I loved "Would it help if I blew on it," because, honestly sometimes it helps, when the right person blows and because it is a lovely reference to Leias "Would it help, if I got out and pushed"-line in ESB.
Just as reassurances and promises like "I wonlet it happen again," "Were both here-were safe, and were together," do help, even when bad things are still lurking around, because sometimes being there and safe for now it all that matters.

Also Hans "I dont pity you. In fact, I admire you," is a great and important line. And it is so very true, because IMO Han has always been admiring Leia.

Wonderful story, written down in an emotional, but also very considerate language. I truly enjoyed the read, because it gave me so many Han/Leia feels. Thank you for sharing!
