Your descriptions were particularly beautiful, Lily's hair after birth was so vivid and poetic, it really struck me. I also adore how easily you wove in the flashback, Sirius' perspective and later Harry's and how he was feeling.

Sirius being so soft, so caring, close to a father figure just makes me damn emotional. That's exactly what he should have been and any fits where he gets to showcase that have my heart. This is just gorgeous Sophy, that's all I want to say. I want to scroll back up and read it again, just to feel all the feels again. You're amazing.

I have to say the thing that really struck me about this fic was the realisation that Remus had essentially abandoned Harry to the tender mercies of the Dursleys. He would have known from Lily just how awful they were and he still did it. That never occurred to me before.
I thought this was a heartbreakingly beautiful and it really showed a connection between Sirius and Harry that I'd have liked to have seen more of. I don't know if it's just because of the fanon that Sirius has become such a lovely person but I believe it fully!
I thought you characterised everyone very well, Sirius was especially tender hearted which I liked and I thought your descriptions and dialogue were detailed and really helped the piece flow really nicely.

I've never thought about what would happen if Harry had been expelled, but now it seems obvious that Sirius would get involved somehow. I'm glad he's just Harry's supportive shoulder - what he needs - rather than plotting to overthrow the Ministry or anything like so many other people like to have him do...

CONTINUE IT! Do it, do it, do it! Sirius raising Harry type fics are my fave and now you've said you might continue it, you need to (I mean, you can't just get my hopes up like that and then not deliver).

I loved this. The relationship between Harry and Sirius was done so perfectly. I love the relationship they have, or could have, and I think this shows just how much they actually mean to each other.

AND THAT FLASHBACK. Oh my god that was adorable. I can totally believe James being late, even if it wasn't for a work reason. And then Sirius melting over Harry is just so perfect, like of course, he'd be this prankster that's all sarcasm and wit and then as soon as a baby is introduced turn to mush.

You just write so well and everything you've written is perfectly explained and has just the right amount of detail and makes you feel for the characters and want to root for them super hard.

I think your characterisation of both Sirius and Harry was great here. Harry was perfect, being scared and unsure and desperate to hear about his parents. I like that you showed the more emotional side of him, rather than anger.

Sirius as a second father figure was also perfect, the way he knew how to handle Harry and how to talk to him, even if he did slip up (because Sirius is the type to not always think his words through). Though there is a lot of talk and snippets on tumblr about this happening, it's not something I've read much about. I like the way you've handled it - the very few stories I've read with a plot like this weren't written as originally as this.

The pair of them interacted wonderfully. Sirius as the protective father figure and Harry as someone who needed a parent to help them through a tough situation that they couldn't handle alone. The flow was great in this story, the dialogue moved nicely. The only issue I found was at the end, it moved from Sirius' pov to Harry and it threw me off slightly. Apart from that, it was perfect. The prompt was clear in the story and well used. You based the whole story around the prompt rather than just sticking it in. The plot was well thought out and I can't fault it.

I really enjoyed reading this story. It was written at a good pace and apart from my previous note about the change of POV, nothing threw off the story. I did disagree with the Remus bit early on, but as that's my own opinion on his character.

That birth scene between Lily and Sirius was just the cutest. I especially loved all the description (her emerald green eyes, her flowing red hair, the baby's hand fell through like silk). It just made me feel like i was there. And you mixed emotions so well into the this; first the tone was sad because Harry had been expelled, then happy at his birth, then a mix of happy and sad because Harry is going to move in with Sirius but he was expelled. Well done! It was definitely an enjoyable read!

It's really nice to see a story where Sirius is there for Harry, not to get revenge or whatever, but just to support Harry because he's upset and being betrayed like that hurts, and you've done that here so well!

It feels like an opportunity for Harry to hear about his parents - something he never actually manage to do in canon - and for Sirius to actually be a godfather to Harry; and Merlin, Harry is just to sweet and he just wants to know.

The scene that Sirius recounts in the hospital room was definitely my favourite. You've managed to capture so many emotions (and personalities) in so few words!

Anyways, I've never seen a fic where Harry actually gets expelled and I think this was done really well. Uhh I hate the Ministry at times. I loved the flashback scenes with James, Lily, and Sirius, it really added great meaning to the story and showed how Sirius was there with Harry to the very end. The part where Sirius got to hold him first was priceless :p This was overall a very cute and sweet fic:3 I'm glad you explained what happened in the AN because I was curious about what happened to poor Harry. I can't find anything to criticize, it's just so well done :3

I really enjoyed this, and admittedly, I never wondered what would have happened to Harry had he been expelled. The scene between Sirius, Lily, and James, was really cute and adorable and sweet. You did have a few typos: "any less read" should be "any less red", "sirupy" should be "syrupy" and you forgot to add "player" after Quidditch when describing what Harry knew about his parents. Those were all that I noticed, but other then that, this story was really good! :D

The dynamic between Sirius and Harry at the beginning was lovely- it's so obvious how much Sirius cares about Harry and wants to protect him from this whole ordeal.
Sirius's memory of Lily, James, and baby Harry was definitely my favorite part. You have Lily, with all her sarcasm and fondness, and Sirius, who's completely melting at his tiny godson. I adore how Sirius and James are completely in shock and in awe of this little baby, and Lily seems amused at them. That was more perfect than I can even say.
The ending was so bittersweet. I know that Lily and James are long gone, but that didn't stop it from hurting any less. And the way Sirius cares so much about Harry is so heartwarming; they can face anything together.

I have never ever ever read a fic where Harry gets expelled after the trial so this is complete new territory that I love already. I think Sirius being slightly internally happy was very realistic. I absolutely adored the flashback and how sarky Lily is when Sirius asks if she wants to hold Harry. That made me laugh. James and Sirius' interactions were perfect and the actions of him not telling Sirius that he's godfather was just perfectly in character. He's the perfect godfather and the writing following after the flashback is heartbreaking and heartwarming and if you carry it on I will cry more and yes just this was amazing.
