I need some clarity, because it feels a bt inconsistent with his power, but I may not be following the story too well. I have to congratulate you on using Izuku's -not really human- personality. I say not human personality because of Nux Taku's "Deku Sucks" video. I do like that you are trying to give Izuku more development.

I've thoroughly enjoyed every second of this fic and im gonna try my hardest to wait patiently for another chapter. This fic not only scratched the itch I've been having for a good crossover fic, but it had me captivated and pushing myself to stay up later than i should so I could read "just one more chapter" over and over. I rarely find a fic these days that has me feeling like that- the way i felt about fanfiction back in middle school when I first discovered it.
Definitely take the time you need to get yourself feeling comfortable and relaxed and capable of continuing to write your fics, and just know that every time i refresh my email inbox I'm going to be holding my breath and hoping to see an update.

Toushiro is a soul. Unless midnight suddenly became a shinigami when i wasn't looking (knowing anime she might be) then her quirk would not work on him. This is because there is no reishi in the environment just something similar. That would not allow midnight to charge her quirk with reiryoku so the chemicals would not effect a shinigami. Thus it is completely illogical that it would effect him since no chemical can, only physical or energy attacks. I don't mean to offend you at all but i am a huge nerd so i have to inform people if they get something wrong. It is just a habit i have.

Wouldn’t all of this been easier if he was stuck inside a Gigai? Then his quirk would make sense because basically his power was being expressed in a physical manner because, while fake, his faux body is also physical. That could have been the “rule” like they show in the anime that they can’t really leave their Gigai unless there was a hollow signal on their flip phone... not really sure why regular humans are able to see him in his Shinigami form since you need a considerable amount of spiritual pressure like Karin, Orihime or her friends. Unless you’re planning a new element of the human evolution along with a quirk, humans can also use spiritual pressure specialized powers like Orihime and her Shun Shun Rika because as told by canon she is NOT a fullbringer but a special human who realized her potential through the breakdown sphere. From what I understand, the hougyoku helps one realize their wish, meaning maybe through specialized training Orihine could have learned her power by herself that’s why she was so inexperienced because her power came about on its own. So maybe while Toshiro is learning how to be a human again with a faux body and quirk other characters can actually help him by developing spiritual pressure abilities that complement their quirks?

Think of it like a JoJo character that can use both Hamon and a Stand? Like Joseph Joestar. One is clearly a physically required technique while the other seems to originate from his spirit and personality?

Just an interesting direction I though you could take this story if you having trouble figuring out how exactly regular humans could contribute to the immense powers of a shinigami and if you wanted to limit Toshiro in some way to help make the other characters more relevant?

This story is amazing, thank you for writing it and continue it.

Look, it's okay to stop writing a story. It's fine, it's understandable, and there's nothing to feel bad about.

It's not okay to recurringly raise your reader's hopes of a chapter with an update only to say that you haven't abandoned the story even though it looks like you have. Either be quiet until you have a new chapter, or move on to your next story. Waffling about is cruel to people who really look forward to you continuing the story, more cruel than it would be to just quietly let it go.

Anyway, I think the story is decent, there are a few places where you would have been better served by setting things up in the very beginning, like the differences between this Hitsugaya and canon Hitsugaya. At first I disliked your portrayal of him, but once I decided to view him as a completely different character I was able to nod and believe the PTSD and teenage behaviour, so that's fine, but there are also a few places where I feel like you are trying too hard.

The story doesn't actually *gain* anything by the addition of Einstein-Rosen bridges and theoretical physics. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that those things distract from the story, since they could be explained in simpler, more organic terms that already exist. Instead of using "exotic particles" for Hitsugaya to describe Reishi, you could have just said "Reishi, also known as Spirit Particles" and then gone on to describe them a little using terms that are already provided in the source material. The attempt at forcing scientific descriptions for something that is already described adequately for your purposes comes across as a ham-fisted attempt to make the story seem more intelligent. You don't need to call something a Wormhole when you could just as easily and more fittingly to the setting call it a pseudo-Dangai, a bridge dimension. Maybe to you those terms mean the same thing as what you've used, but they are not organic to the settings and stick out like a sore thumb.

The MCU gets away with these things because it's Science Fantasy, emphasis on the Science, Bleach is Supernatural Shonen Fantasy, and MHA is Superhero Shonen Fantasy. Neither of them touch on hard science at all, preferring to stay very soft even when it comes to Quirk genetics and dimensions. Trying to inject hard science into a soft, or even minimal, science setting doesn't work well, it just draws your attention away from the point of the story, the characters and the powers.

Anyway, I hope that the next time you post something it's to give everyone who is sticking around waiting for another chapter what they are waiting for, and not so that you can string them along with non-story posts. I wish you luck on whatever you are working on, whether it's this or whether you move on.
