I could just see Alan Rickman playing this out in a movie and I cried when she died. You certainly have a gift for writing. Your descriptions of what is happening are so vivid that I can see as if it is movie playing in my mind and that impresses me as I was a Creative Writing teacher for 22 years. You're good. I love your writing!

Perfect. I had always hoped Severus found someone else but I didn't want him to lose her too. He deserved a family, a wife who loves him for who he is and children.

That is so sad... I haven't really ever followed the Snape/Sinistra ship, so I probably am not as attached to it as some, but this was still heart-breaking. Poor Snape...

This was written a long time ago and although I have read and reread it over the years I never left a review. I just found it again recently and decided it was overdue to compliment the author.

It is rare on fan fiction now to find stories that are gems like this. This makes me cry, makes me smile and makes my heart ache with longing every time I read it. It was and still is an absolute pleasure to read. Bessie

This story made me cry, which is a compliment for stories like this. I love the way you've built an entire relationship through glasses and frizzy hair and grouchiness and Shakespeare quotations, and how Snape is both in love and in character. The characters feel as if they are (were) alive.

Oh my. Well, there are the rough spots and places that could use some editing, but then there are also those moments that have me choking with emotion, eyes tearing up, some very neat subtleties woven in. The power here is in the lack of a happy ending while maintaining the emotion. Wasn't it always Severus Snape's due? To know happiness for a moment but never to have it for life. Bitterness to the end, but this bit of romance alleviates it a bit. Very nice details slipped in, the Shakespeare, the coffee cup, the emerald ring and her glasses. I enjoyed. :)
