Such a great one shot. You really have a handle on Chuck and Sarah and the feelings and desires and uneasiness of that stage of their relationship. Too bad they couldn’t have gone further but as you correctly note, they weren’t ready to go there yet. It really was an entertaining addition to canon. Thanks so much for sharing.

This is like the fic equivalent of hot chocolate on a cold night. They are so freaking cute!

So this is where it all began. This is a great insert into the canon story, very well written, really feels like a deleted scene from an episode in late Season 1. Love it!

So...given our recent conversations, I've committed to going back and reading all your other work. Had to laugh a little that the first story you wrote was, in fact, a canon story, considering our conversations about you favouring AU stories.

Anyway, my first thought about this story is that the entire one shot, and quite a long one shot at that, was really just about one evening in their lives. But that one evening definitely changed things between them. I'll be honest, I was really wondering if they were going to...consummate their relationship before it was all over. But they didn't...and that's OK. Their relationship would have definitely been different during the rest of seasons 1 and 2 if this had actually occurred.

Loved the amount of introspection we see from Sarah in this story. We all knew she was terribly conflicted from very early on, but you gave voice to those feelings very well here. She's very vulnerable emotionally, which is always refreshing to read. But that moment by the tree at the stroke of midnight...phew! That made the room a little warm all of a sudden.

Why couldn't they have writers like you when Chuck was on the air there would've never been a Shaw or a Barker. Bryce would've never been allowed to come between them either & I believe the show would've lasted at least 10 yrs in my opinion & a lot of Charah shippers think the same thing.

Nice short story, especially where you made good of the argument originally in front of the Christmas tree and the first half of Crown Vic, she was just such a bitch & Chuck didn't deserve it, not my favourite eps, when I first watched it and rewatches, i remember saying to myself, Chuck, get the girl reassigned, sometimes Sarah really did annoy me as a character, very aggressive but I guess that's how handlers work using there assets, mind you, that was nothing compared to the melt down in s3.

Whew! This almost calls for a cold shower after, their kisses got so hot! I loved how Sarah relaxed into things as the evening progressed, finding excuses to snuggle with Chuck and enjoy herself.

What a great story. Loved it. Hope you will write more Chuck.
