What experiences will they have, eg will Hugh have any social engagements for Emala to wear any pretty frocks at, or meet the Poldarks, getting on so well with the ever-sickening Hugh, and figure out who the wonan he loves is?

Yes. I can see that working out: her nursing him, he confessing everything to her, because you don't get that insight in the books/series (70s/recent). Plus there's so little of Hugh Armitage on fan fic, the "world's" your oyster...
