This story may be a bit edgy, but that’s ok. It reminds me of Berserk a bit.

Remnant is rather too undeveloped just like the characters.
One of the first things I look at in any story of show is the villain or opposing force, and their motives.
In RWBY, its terrible.

Some fanfics actually make great motives for SalemRelic of the Future"). The villains in stories have the potential from the start to be far more interesting than the MC's as they already have grey or 'bad' morality as opposed to the usual paragon.

Also, you don't need to repeatedly overemphasize howtoxicand bad the LLegion are in your auth-notes.
Its already beyond obvious to even the most disinterested skim reader.

It gets a little confusing when you start changing the names with which you refer to umbra (reaper, red swordsman, red sword bearer, etc), as I was uncertain for that particular paragraph whether another had entered the fight. But that might just be me.
Also good for you for struggling valiantly against autocorrect (which was auto corrected to remove the intended dash).
