Nofear4231 chapter 1 . 6/11
Pretty good will they find out he was Human?
Greyson chapter 1 . 5/7
I love it. It flows well and the text is easy on the eyes. It does well at not being like other Self inserts, and this entirely a good thing. It gives us what we need to know about our characters without constantly knowing their thoughts. Also I love that there isn't this huge backstory and build up to the good parts. I have seen many a writer start off well but get bogged down as the story progresses and then eventually leave it. I however do understand that you have real life stuff to do that prevents you from updating this story, still I sincerely hope you do update the story, it's really good!
Guest chapter 1 . 12/15/2019
The Emperor defeating the Void Dragon should theoretically give mankind command of all technology possibly excepting artificial intelligence and there is the Dark Mechanicum

What the tech priests usually do is just what we do repair work with added chanting and maybe burning incense and the like, and they actually DO make the machines work when they shouldn't sometimes though that's usually with the more advanced versions which may just be some artificial intelligence or advanced programming

Technical Knock and Gun Blessing talents. Technical Knock allows an operator to clear a "jam" (the catch-all term used for almost all weapon malfunctions, including in flame and energy weapons) with a swift, simple ritual that may or may not be code for hitting the gun just right. On the other hand, Tech Priests can learn the Gun Blessing, which allows them to unjam multiple weapons at once with a wave of their hand

Necron Crypteks have no connection to the warp, but in material world their technologies tend to surpass Eldar's can tell the laws of physics to "Piss off and quit cramping my style"

Jokaero food synthesizers

Grox (delicious and nutritious) in the good years, algae in the bad years, and corpse rations in the really bad years

Imperial medical tech anything short of severed limbs will heal but will leave scars if severe enough and they have bionics and vat grown replacements

Most servitors are vat grown never sentient

They call their ipads dataslates

Chainswords, knives, and bayonets sharpened to single atom laser

Electoos (finger guns)

Pushing buttons to find out what will happen on a laptop is one thing but on a spaceship with enough firepower to destroy a solar system it's really stupid

They put wood, stone, and bone club and bare handed killing each other primitives with professional trained from birth troopers from a Forge World equipped with plasma weapons and utilizing cameleoline cloaking and cybernetic augmentations, fighting alongside Feral World primitives who like draping themselves with noxious body paint and the bones of dead comrades, and prefer tomahawks and longbows over their lasguns

Death riders of Krieg motorcycle troops and horse cavalry fighting alongside giant robots

Aren't there circuit nanotech cybernetics coats

Orks primitive axes, clubs and boar-riding cavalry are regularly seen alongside laser guns and Humongous Mecha. The in-universe explanation is that their technology works by the Rule of Cool – if Orks believe something they've built will work, it will

A million worlds and that's before you start talking about inhabited asteroid fields, mining colonies off gas giants, space stations, star forts etc

Part trade prince part privateer part conquistador

Isn't there a thriving black market of xeno tech

Some Rogue Traders are very pious others are no more than sanctioned pirates

"I claim this world for the Emperor of Humanity and his Imperium. I bring justice and truth for the loyal. Punishment and death for the guilty."

Despite their free-ranging powers, one can assume that a renegade Rogue Trader guilty of heresy or treason will be severely prosecuted by the Inquisition. It is very likely that he is considered to have forsaken the Emperor's trust upon his family and that his punishment will be much more severe

some newly created Rogue Traders come from backgrounds such as the Imperial Guard, the Imperial Navy, the Merchant Fleets, the Administratum or even the Inquisition where they will have developed unique outlooks and approaches to situations. Some Rogue Traders are relatively poor, possessing a single ancient and dilapidated ship. Others are incredibly wealthy and powerful and have whole fleets and entire private armies at their disposal. Certain favoured individuals may even call upon detachments of Space Marines having entered pacts with individual Chapters. Some Rogue Traders operate as mercenaries, renting the service of their ship(s)

While Warrant of Trade or a Letter of Marque grants extraordinary freedoms within the Imperium, they also invariably contain particular conditions; sometimes Rogue Traders will be required to make regular visits to certain troublesome Imperial worlds, or sent to enact military action on world which do not require the force of the segmentum battlefleets. Often however, Rogue Traders will be required to travel outside the established territories of the Imperium in the name of settlement or exploration

Ozkarus chapter 1 . 4/18/2018
Hello there, this will be my first review for one of your stories and I have to say that of all of them, this is the one that I like the most. The one named “Get me out” had a good start, but with further chapters you boxed your story, plot and main character with the introduction of an ancient aeldari, the rapid and improbable development of exotic technologies and warp abilities, and finally, the formation of a harem. It just seemed like some type of Mary-Sue escalation of your character and his skills. That said, in order to make my review easier to read, I am going to divide it in segments pertaining to a specific subject:

Design of the story and its plot. One of the better aspects of this story is that you start it at some point when Kaevel has already lived some centuries as an eldar. This is refreshing in the fact that you didn’t begin at the moment when he was born and adjusting to his reincarnation in another universe. The story reads itself as an adventure, which is a dramatic change from your other 40k stories which seem to me more like empire building types. These facts make this story unique from the others.
Eldar race. Considering the characteristics and society of the eldar race and the nature of the main character, being an eldar gives you a lot of space and flexibility in determining the course of the story and exploring the galaxy. In the 40k universe not anyone has the possibility of wandering the stars at their whim, even less if you are a human (unless you are an inquisitor), with the exception of the craftworld eldar in their path of the outcast. The only disadvantage is that the lore regarding them is scarce, making it difficult for you to write them in certain aspects like societal cues, how they are organized in their choirs of bonesingers or how many craftworlds are out there.

Kaevel. The first chapter has given us a lot of hints and insinuations regarding the main character, his personality, the skills he has cultivated and how he is being perceived. To me he seems like the version of a spark of the girl genius series due to the allusion of his experiments and their disastrous but impressive results. This makes me wonder just what those experiments entailed and their results for the ruling council to have to lecture him. There is also the fact that he is recognized as capable or skilled in his chosen craft and I am curious about his discoveries or improvements that he made over eldar weaponry, gadgets or armors.
Another aspect is his seemingly kindness and humbleness which seem to attract the opposite sex. I found it funny that the farseer has fallen head over heels for him due to his protective nature and he doesnt notice. It would be hilarious if during his travels he meets other female eldar from other craftworlds or places (dark eldar) and somehow gains their affections or uncomfortable attentions (DE) through his personality and he is clueless about it. Somehow I got the impression that Kaevel has the potential to become an anime protagonist unintentionally in this story, which would be weird in the 40k setting but hilarious.

Skills and Powers (Path). It seems that Kaevel is well versed in a variety of useful powers and skills due to his chosen paths. What I find interesting is his final path before his departure being that of the witch path, a warlock in particular. I researched some lore regarding eldar paths and their psychic disciplines and it says that they rely heavily in runes and their combinations, and these are based upon their teacher, their previous experiences or inclinations in other paths and their experience with them. It is a shame that the lore doesn’t have more info regarding warlocks and their potential skills and powers.
I am curious about Kaevel psychic inclinations as a warlock if we consider his main path had been that of the bonesinger, how would he combine crafting with psychic destruction, or how did being an aspect warrior gave him a better perspective about warfare, thus helping in his crafting and research of weaponry or psychic skills. One of the things I find promising is Kaevel’s desire for research and innovation of eldar weapons and gadgets. The craftworld race as a whole doesn’t seem to innovate or create more powerful weapons, due in part to their high effectiveness and sophistication and the more powerful weapons are relics submerged in myth. Kaevel seems to break this trend due to his condition (human curiosity or desire) and he could well become THE eldar savant regarding research, improvement and crafting akin like Belisarius Cawl or Crytek Szeras, minus the psychological issues and insanity.

To finish this review, I am going to make a few questions that you are free to answer if you want:
1. What did Kaevel experimented on to have the council of Yme-Loc lecture him on many occasions? Like you know, bringing human archeotech, necron tech or dark eldar tech, making really huge explosions, short circuiting parts of the craftworld due to an experiment, etc.
2. As a bonesinger, what is Kaevels specialty? Melee weaponry, eldar lasers, shuriken weaponry, D-weaponry, crafting of wraithguard bodies or bigger vehicles like tanks or titans, holofields or force fields, eldar ships, armour, etc. Are his weapons so good that a lot of his kin make him personal commissions?
3. Where approximately is Kaevel in the timeline? You mentioned 41millenium but it could have been just an expression. If he is living in a past millennium like the 39 or 40, it gives you space for your character to develop and interact with the coming players tyranids or the resurgent necrons when they appear.
4. Is your character going to research other species biology or tech, like the tyranids and necrons? He could become the foremost expert among eldar about their biology or bodies, their tactics and tech, which he could gather and archive so that his race can use that info.
5. Do you have plans for your character to interact or meet other notorious eldar figures like Eldrad, Phoenix Lords, Yriel, Arianna, Lelith, Illic, Sylandri, etc. and to contribute in important eldar battles like Iyanden vs tyranids or intervene in attacks towards his craftworld Yme-Loc like the Mechanicus attack?
6. Is your character going to become notorious among the eldar, like you making a different POW from someone of his craftworld and said character mentioning his achievements or something. It would be interesting to read about someone of Yme-Loc like an old shaper commenting on his absence and how quiet it is or a warrior missing his skills for crafting weapons and helpful nature.
7. Is he going to get a gathering in his travels?
8. Do you plan to develop Kaevels skills and psychic disciplines into something unique and powerful, or make him craft something extremely useful for the eldar as a whole like a wraithbone device that makes soulstones or something? That would make him famous and everyone would try to make him teach them his secrets.
Haruchai chapter 1 . 4/6/2018
Poor waifu got left behind.
MrMayhem FF chapter 1 . 3/11/2018
There are some realy intersesting pptions that could be in this story . For example finding that rumored horde of eldar lost knowlidge in the web way . Also how ypu describe his many paths I think I can smell an Autarch in there . Whitch would be realy cool. Also he cluld try to do something abput Isha . For example with that some lost eldar lore he could hide a word/s from chaos and try to settle them with eldar , couse they are basicly nomadic and this would give then some safe haven or ground from witch they could expand . Also something simular to your ODIN field so to deny BigS her/his souls .
OBSERVER01 chapter 1 . 3/8/2018

Raptor010 chapter 1 . 2/13/2018
Love the premise, I really hope that you plan to have all of the Paths affect him in some way, which from what I have seen you have alluded to. Really looking forward to this story being updated. Keep up the good work.
