a nice start to the remake of your story, I await the upcoming chapters and all the twists and turns they will bring.

Like I said at the end of the last story: if Jaune IS a detective, he actually remains one. Doesn't get "in over his head" as a "rookie" and ends up realizing that hey, he actually isn't one, making the whole story pointless.

Never forgiven that author.

I like where this is going, hyper observation as a semblance is pretty cool and a concept I haven't yet read about in any RWBY fanfic so far.

There are a few criticisms I have so far though.

The way you've written Jaune's semblance and had it described so far make me think that it's more of a passive sentence like Qrow's. However when you write the semblance when it's active makes it feel like an entity separate to Jaune himselfsomething akin to "Remy" the Grimm bug from "White Sheep." Now there's nothing wrong with this, but it makes it feel like there's some disconnect between Jaune and semblance even though they're one in the same.

A suggestion I have (you can take this with a grain of salt if you'd like) is just write the statistics and observations as Jaune's passive thoughts, and that he comments on right after. Not as some pseudo-being he has that talks to him every time something is observed.

Something I find pretty cool and interesting about the semblance as you're writing it right now however is that you it makes me feel like I'm reading Jaune doing a letsplay of his life. With the semblance being a game narrator sort of figure.
