tonberrys chapter 1 . 9/3/2018
I have never read Pansmione before, but I really enjoyed this. Staying true to the spirit of those core personalities is a big thing for me, and I really love that you took this pairing and made me buy into it. The characterization felt very accurate, despite the animosity between Pansy and Hermione in canon. I liked the build up from initial bickering towards understanding, then from understanding to something more.

Random side note: I of course already knew the pairings because of the summary information, but I was very amused by the jarring moment where Draco slid a hand up her leg at the beginning because it very much was NOT a romantic/sexual advance, despite that action being strongly associated as such. Nice friendship touch which tied in well with the “only trusts Draco and Blaise with that kind of stuff” at the wrap of that section.

Pansy’s previous healer made me see red, but I really enjoyed the commentary about “no one really cares when happens to those who participated in OR supported Voldemort’s cause.” There are definitely implications that there was a social/reputational toll to pay, but I think it’s realistic that calculated negligence in a situation like that could very well happen, especially from a muggle-born who has recently suffered greatly with the muggle-born registration in the recent past. It’s not right, but suffering can easily breed more suffering in situations like that, so I think it was a good set up.

I liked seeing Hermione’s compassion in action throughout this, even though they were still bickering at the beginning, as well as the little hints of embarrassment at the point that Hermione had said some mean things to Pansy over the years, too. It takes away the risk of “saint Hermione” and instead paints the more realistic picture of “compassionate and imperfect Hermione.” I am here for imperfect characters, always.

Regarding your A/N at the end about “less visible disabilities,” that was something I specifically appreciated about it. I haven’t experienced it myself, but my little sister experiences it to a degree, and hearing experiences like that triggers my little sister feelings. It’s great to put that kind of content out into the mix, so just wanted to specifically say I think it’s great that you were able to explore it and share.

The ending was cute, too, and I like that the bath scene focused more on Pansy enjoying a moment of private luxury (even if Hermione’s embarrassment about helping her get in was adorable). It was another nice true-to-character moment, and made the cuddling at the end even more sweet.

Nice job!
MindOfMyOwn chapter 1 . 6/7/2018
This was SO good! I loved this more than I care to admit. It really is hard finding disability in fiction so this was a fresh breeze.
I also loved the Pansy in this very much! The sarcasm, snarky comments, all of it!
Thank you so much for this!:)
emryses chapter 1 . 3/11/2018
Sorry this review was so late - I had some internet issues. I loved the portrayal of both Pansy and Hermione in this, I think it was more than amazing, and while I dislike the pairing Pansmione I think yours was done really well. It boiled my blood to hear what happened to Pansy in the beginning of the fic... I love how Pansy and Hermione grew closer throughout the fic. I also love the plot - I've never seen anything like this (a fic involving disability, and I love the idea of representation) and this is very original. I’m also awed at how you fit all those prompts into your fic. The Drarry hints made me smile - it's definitely an OTP of mine, and I think I’ve definitely started to warm up to Pansmione. Lovely fic!:3

I like the pairing, but I hate the healers, they are assholes. I hope you make more like these.
galaxies in her eyes chapter 1 . 2/19/2018
This was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. The details were so carefully written about. I loved how Pansy was portrayed. I don't know whether maybe this girl was underneath the one who attended Hogwarts, or whether the war made them all grow up. At any rate, I am astounded at the realism of the story. Hermione seemed so much like how I see her - flustered easily, hates not knowing everything. And they came alive for me. Also, I am honestly baffled by how many prompts there are in this, and how they all came together to make an amazing story that drew me in right from the title and summary, and didn't let me go until I read the last line. Fantastic work.

Jane2004 chapter 1 . 2/18/2018
This is a really good story. I think you should consider continuing it. I really like the fact you made the relationship come slow not just straight away. Carry on the good work
Saneda chapter 1 . 2/17/2018
This was interesting! I can't recall how long it's been since I've read a fic where someone was disabled, and I can say the same about the last time I read a Hermansy fic.
