And you know the Silmarillion well? Could this be anymore perfect? I like especially that you've gone for a more slow-burn approach in which the MCs are friends first and foremost as that gives you a chance to really authorially indulge whereas when it's a love at first sight trope, this I feel can sometimes cheapen the author's ability to write a plot and believable characters. Erika is just perfect, too- so funny and cheerful; I think she'd be a great person around in a crisis to just lighten up the atmosphere. I love your Glorfindel as well- how he is so chivalrous and at the same time, you get glimpses of his being an ancient creature that in someways is unfathomable and vastly different in terms of experiences and wisdom to Erika. As alwyas, I loved it- it makes me so happy to see you update and I hope you are well x

Can you write translations for Erika’s language? (Spanish or something?) I can somewhat guess what it means depending on situation and emotions, but it isn’t really the same as knowing the exact translation

I'm sorry it took me so long to review! As always, this story is so promising and I am especially fond of Erika and her ability to retain her humour and wit in such emotionally fraught situations. I like that you've emphasized the difference between humans and elves so much- how expressive and emotive she is, especially in comparison to the refined and self-possessed Glorfindel. It's so easy to see how she might enrich his life so much. Can't wait for more xx

HAHAHHA! Oh, I love it! This is just so great, and I love how you get the perfect balance between the humor and the seriousness of it all. When she had just become a mermaid and was pulling herself upon the beach I got this image of the elves finding her then and there, and she was like, “I don’t got the time for you right now, I’m gonna murder a bitchy witch!” while pulling herself over the sand and wiggling her hips. Now, that didn’t happen, which might be for the better, but still :D and the last part, “May the force be with you,” oh, how I love it. This is easily one of my new favorite stories, great work! 3
