Scáthach's advice is something that Harry needed to hear. I have to do some remaking on my request for Merlin.

Now Here is my idea for The Most Famous and Greatest Wizard of All Time. In fact I have already done the research to fix it. So you can borrow my idea if you want to implement it.

Backstory: Merlin's Birth and Childhood. Merlin was born sometime during the medieval era and Merlin is the child of a human woman who was impregnated by a demon, Merlin's mother being a princess of Wales, and his father a supernatural incubus who lived in the gap between the Earth and the moon. Merlin was baptized at birth to turn Merlin to the side of the Light and also had the gift of Wizarding Magic. During his childhood and formative years Merlin was raised among the Druids learning their powers and mystical skills. Later on his eleventh birth day he attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and was sorted into Slytherin House where he was taught by Salazar Slytherin himself. It is said that Merlin's wand was of English oak a wand made of English oak, a wood known to have "an affinity with the magic of the natural world"(though his grave has never been found, so this cannot be proven, hint, hint,). Merlin had performed many prophecies at a young age. Among the many prophecies that caused Merlin's name to become widely known, there was one in which, after correctly guessing about the existence of two dragons, one red and one white, sleeping beneath Mount Emrys, he spoke of how, at the time of having that vision, those red and white dragons would fight against each other upon waking up. Merlin's words, which were transmitted in posterity as prophecies, indicated the red dragon as Britain and the white dragon as the Saxons, and under a great king would Britain finally gather their forces and surely reign over both Gaul and Rome. He also left behind many other prophecies, and amongst them were those concerning wars and even the king's death.

Later life

Merlin served King Uther Pendragon. Uther loved Igraine, the wife of Duke Cornwall, so he secured Merlin's assistance in winning her love at the price of leaving his child in Merlin's care. Thus, after he rised up as a magus, Merlin helped arrange the marriage between King Arthur’s father - Uther Pendragon - and princess Igraine, and watched over King Arthur since before her birth. Merlin told Uther a prophecy about his child, who would become his appointed successor during their war-torn times. Under an arrangement from Uther, Merlin helped produce an heir bearing the "essence of a dragon", so Artoria was born as a human infused with a dragon's magical energy. Although the child was a girl who could not officially become the successor, Merlin was delighted all the same, believing that her sex never mattered. Confident that having her separated from the castle until the prophecy was fulfilled was proof that she would become king, he entrusted her to the king's vassal, Sir Ector, and had her raised as the child of a knight. Merlin visited at some point during Artoria's upbringing and swore Sir Kay to secrecy about the matter of her gender. According to anecdotes, Merlin taught many things to the young Arthur and ascertained the child's growth akin to that of a foster father-like existence.

Merlin prepared Caliburn for the selection of the next king, but none could pull it out of the stone. As the other participants prepared a jousting match to decide the kingship, Artoria neared the sword and prepared to pull it without hesitation. Merlin appeared before her then, telling her she should think it through and described that to become "king" is to no longer be "human". Warning her that she should stop because she is fated to die a miserable death while resented by all of humanity, he showed her the end she would face. Having prepared for that day since her birth and firmly believing in the smiling people she saw in Merlin's vision, Artoria pulled it without hesitation and became king. As he left her, Merlin said that in exchange for that miracle, she will lose that which is most important to her.

During this point in his lifetime, Merlin became a part of the Court of King Arthur, assisting Saber during her reign. He was the enemy of Artoria's half-sister, Morgan le Fay (also known as Morgana), a dark witch. Merlin believed that wizards should help Muggles and live peacefully with them. To this end, he founded the Order of Merlin, an organization which promoted Muggle rights as learning about the philosophy of the Druids from a young age helped grow and nurture his desire to promote Muggle rights shielded him from being influenced by the common belief in the inherent superiority of pure-bloods found in Slytherin house, and also from Salazar Slytherin himself, creating rules against using magic on them. Merlin was also an expert user of charms. His exceptional skill earned him the epithet "Prince of Enchanters".

Due to Artoria having issues with discussing her gender and producing an heir, Merlin's magecraft was used to solve those issues by making her a pseudo-male for some duration of time, which allowed for the creation of Mordred from her sperm. Artoria lost Caliburn at a later point and obtained Excalibur and Avalon from the Lady of the Lake. It is said that in legends, Merlin asked Artoria about which implement was better, chiding her for choosing the sword since the sheath will protect her. In spite of having foreseen all about the collapse of the Round Table and the crises within Britain, Merlin left Britain without telling anything to King Arthur. Merlin had left King Arthur before her last battle with Mordred due to his love affairs problem. He claims that the cold-mannered woman had been trying to murder him so he has taken refuge in the Reverse Side of the World where he'd crossed the boundary and stumbled into a foreign land known as Avalon. Merlin had thought that the evil witch could not reach him anymore. But he encountered a gate that was built with rough stones, resembling the stone circles. The gate was inscribed with "Only the innocent may pass." Merlin realized that the gate was a trap and he was imprisoned when he had walked into it. Massive walls of stone emerged from the ground in front of him. The walls seem to vertically extend forever, effectively trapping the visiting magus inside. The place is like a tower without a roof.

There are many theories as for why Merlin never told King Arthur about the fate that awaits her, but it is often said that it was because he is not biased towards individuals, instead caring only about fate, or so the story goes. Afterwards, Merlin went to the utopia Avalon and then confined himself within a prison “tower”, called the Garden of Avalon, for all eternity, having transcended death. To ascertain the world of humans until the end of the universe, without being able to even die... as if to say that this is the fate of a foolish man, who playfully meddled with the fate of a single girl.

However, Merlin himself cannot continue on walking side by side with his beloved king. Due to the dreadful magic of Vivian, the Fairy of the Lake—some said that it was Merlin himself who had taught Vivian—Merlin was caught within the "tower". And so, even Merlin, who possesses the powerful ability of foresight, in spite of having foreseen all about the collapse of the Round Table and the dangers within Britain, was unable to convey his regrets as King Arthur had approached "that moment." The one who declared Arthur, who pulled out the Sword of Selection, Caliburn, as the "mark of the King of Britain", and later on guided him to the lake and gave him Excalibur as a substitute for the lost Caliburn, is none other than Merlin. He guided, helped, and numerously prophesized for Arthur, who started walking on the path of a king who dreamt of ideals, Accordingly, it is said that as Merlin stepped down from the era of King Arthur, he then helped the twelve heroes of the era of King Charlemagne, known as the Paladins.

Powers and Abilities:

Magical Mastery: Arguably one of the most powerful wizards of all time, it can be assumed that Merlin was rich in learning and experience and that his proficiency and knowledge in magic was of a standard few had ever seen before and unmatched by any other witch or wizard in his time.

Charms: Merlin's skill in using charms, bewitchments and enchantments are legendary, to the point of him being dubbed the "Prince of Enchanters", which speaks for his exceptional ability in this field of magic.

Spell inventor (possibly): It was thought by some that the Disarming Charm had been a creation of Merlin's, although some (like Miranda Goshawk writes in Book of Spells) maintain that that spell was created in the 14th century by Elizabeth Smudgling.

Foresight and shape shifting: Merlin has proved capable of making prophecies, change his appearance at will and predict the future, so Merlin would both bee a Seer and Metamorphmagus but can do so much more as a Incubus Human hybrid including Clairvoyance "the Eyes Which See through the World". Eyes able to see beyond while the person stands in place. From time immemorial, it is the power entrusted to lands by the gods and the power shamans needed to guard lives. However profound and capable of performing the strongest forms of Magic, a mage who does not possess these "Eyes" shall not be given the title of the most supreme. And obviously Merlin can shift into other forms beyond the norm of Metamorphmagus. As Merlin is a half-blood born from the union of a human and an incubus, he possesses the proof of the Highest Mage; Clairvoyance "the Eyes Which See through the World". Eyes able to see beyond while the person stands in place. From time immemorial, it is the power entrusted to lands by the gods and the power shamans needed to guard lives. However profound and capable of performing the strongest forms of Magecraft one's magic circuits may be, a mage who does not possess these "Eyes" shall not be given the title of the most supreme. Possessing outstanding clairvoyance, in spite of having foreseen all about the collapse of the Round Table and Britain’s crisis, he left Britain without telling anything to King Arthur. There are many theories as for why Merlin never told King Arthur about her fate, but it is often said that it was because he is not biased towards individuals, instead caring only about fate.

Mystical Traditions: Merlin can use the mystical rituals of the Pagan Greeks and Romans as well as the spells in Latin as well as Ancient Greek due to Rome having something of a foot hold in the British Isles for centuries and can use Norse Magic's such as Gandr, Seidr, along with Celtic, Welsh, and Druidic Magic befitting the mythos of Merlin as an Old Celtic and Druidic religious figure, the times the Vikings sacked the British Isles, how Greece and Rome had a strong hold on the isle's and how Merlin shaped the Wizarding World and helped form Camelot and was a student of Hogwarts in HP cannon and the Ancient Egyptian Magic's as Egypt did have a foot hold in both America and Britain and HP Wizarding Magic.

Mage Craft: Merlin is a formidable magus, said to be the most feared in the country. He claims that he qualifies to be a Grand Caster and that he is a top tier servant on the level of Solomon. Bolstered by his Incubus heritage, Rin Tohsaka describes that being able to disguise Artoria's gender or "arrange for a child that should never have been born" should be extremely easy tasks. The creation of Invisible Air is attributed to something he could have thought up for Artoria.

Independent Manifestation
Merlin possesses Independent Manifestation, a Skill that permits the unsupported manifestation of oneself unto reality - a capacity normally restricted to entities that fall within the irregular class of Beast. Being entrapped within Avalon, Merlin should under no circumstances be summonable in the capacity of a Heroic Spirit; his Servant Profile in Fate/Grand Order states that irrelevant of the future that comes to pass, his death shall not occur, and he shall therefore not pass unto the Throne of Heroes as a Heroic Spirit capable of being summoned. Being that serving a Master in the capacity of a Servant counts as one amongst his many interests and desires, however, for purposes of rendering his fantasies as reality, he has by personal effort obtained Independent Manifestation as a Skill. To put it in other words, he pretends as a Servant merely as a part of his hobby. By use of this skill, Merlin was able to be summoned by Gilgamesh in the 7th Singularity of Fate/Grand Order as an irregular Caster. When questioned as to how this was possible when he wasn't yet deceased, he claimed that it may have something to do with his connection with the Singularity; or the fact that the era of the summoning lies prior to his birth - allowing for him to qualify as "not being alive." In Chapter 16, after Merlin apparently dies following the defeat of the Conglomerate Divinity, Gorgon, Doctor Roman indicates that the Merlin that was travelling at your side was merely a projection, and that his primary manifestation within the era was occupied with the task of restraining the Goddess Tiamat within her slumber. He suggests that Merlin may have been killed in the process Tiamat's awakening. However, as of the end of the 7th Singularity, Merlin is revealed to be still alive - taking advantage of the incineration of the Human Order to bypass his confinement within Avalon, and physically travelling to Babylonia to take part in the final battle against Tiamat.

Illusionism and Mental Powers
Merlin excels in the thaumaturgical discipline of Illusionism a Skill related to Mental Interference, which at a Rank of A permits interference with the psyche to the extent of introducing nightmares, and materializing illusions on the scale of a village within reality. He is also able to enter the dreams of sleepers. He can walk into the mind of anyone who's asleep and mess with them however he wants

Immortality: Merlin is fated to be trapped in the Garden of Avalon, for eternity, having transcended death and is able to age backwards as well as forwards in time. To ascertain the world of humans until the end of the universe, without being able to die.

Swordsmanship: He is proficient in swordplay and is allegedly Artoria's swordsmanship instructor. He was shown in possession of Excalibur, saying that he prefers using it in combat over magic because he bites his tongue during long incantations and that "it's a lot easier to smack things around with a Holy Sword, you know?".

Legacy
At some point, either during Merlin's lifetime or after his death, the Order of Merlin switched from a Muggle rights organization to an award bestowed upon witches and wizards who performed a great deed at personal risk or contributed to the betterment of wizarding society in some way, a sign of the estrangement of the Muggle community from the Wizarding one. Merlin's renown led his name to become a part of everyday wizarding vernacular. The popular exclamation, "Merlin's beard!", and the more unusual "Merlin's pants!" are examples of such. Slytherin students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry took special pride in Merlin — "the most famous wizard in history" — having been Sorted into their House. However, this fact is one that the other houses do not like to recognize.

Yeesh The Wyvern sections need some serious work. They are murder on the eyes
Midgardsormr Jr chapter 7 . 9/21/2018
Yeesh! Overkill much Shirou? Also best teacher Scathatch is doing her job. Nice!

Now If I may borrow from one of Doomsday's Hero previous reviews.

You should take a look at Harry Potter and the Eclipse Princess of Black Blood. Specifically the world building and making the Deathly Hallows Nobel Phantasms and having the powers of their myths and HP Cannon. Now I have one question.

Will Harry and the Golden Trio gain mage craft and will they become Average Ones?

Also if Harry goes down the events of the books and obtains all his cannon powers and if the HP and Nasuverse are merged I can see him being a Servant by skill and fame in the future which would freak out the Magus Associations and the Clock Tower, while giving Wizards a metaphorical pat on the back to brag about to themselves. Harry can be a Saber due to wielding The Sword of Godric Gryffindor on numerous circumstances, and Harry can be a Rider with his Broom Skills, Riding Thestral's, A Dragon and riding Buckbeak. And finally Harry can be an Assassin due to his Cloak of Invisibility, and obviously a Caster.

Can I make one suggestion? It is for Harry gaining Magecraft.

Harry's Magic's: I would love it if Harry learned how to use the Runes on the same level of The Hound of Ulster as a Caster class Servant.

Now in both the Type Moon and Harry Potter worlds their are Runes and with Harry personally Runes have played a massive role in his life so it could be possible if properly implemented. Also it would be awesome that when Harry is training his butt off and finding possible spell combinations with his Wizardry, Formal Craft, the Jewel Craft styles of Rin and Luvia, Tracing, and Rune Craft. As well as, Gandr, Seidr, Celtic and Druidic Magic befitting the mythos of Merlin as an Old Celtic and Druidic religious figure, the times the Vikings sacked the British Isles and Harry's British Heritage and how Merlin shaped the Wizarding World and helped form Camelot and was a student of Hogwarts in HP cannon.

Now you may not know this Magecraft revolves around manipulating concepts and ones potency and development is determined at birth as a student of Magecraft style and powers are determined by the elements they can use and their earliest memories AKA their Origin. So for Harry's Origin it should be Sacrifice as it would fit cannon Harry and his parents sacrifice to save him and what Harry is willing to do to save Wizarding Britain. Also Harry has to an Average One as Wizards due not have any limits on that path of magic but his best elements are Air, Fire, Aether and Light and gets the opportunity to learn under Merlin himself as gains most of his powers and abilities, becoming a truly powerful force of nature and him being seen as the second coming of Merlin.

Now to balance it out, for Wizards it is just a suggestion to follow their Origin and not the end all be all like it is for Magi. Also if Ron and Hermione gain Mage Craft powers they must also become Average Ones as well to keep things fair.

Here is an updated version for Voldemort and his new powers. Voldemort has to keep all his cannon powers from all the books but also has to transform himself into a true nightmare. So I expanded on that idea. Voldemort has to incorporate the powers of a HP and Type Moon Vampire, a Bogart, and a Dementor, along with learning Dark Magic's such as Voldemort learning Necromancy, Norse Magic, Celtic Magic, Dark Greco/Roman Magic, all these spells from the Age of the Gods. The various powers of the Giants from the Gigantomachy of Greek Legend and the spells of the Titan's like in God of War 2 and Voldemort gains the powers of the Dark Creatures that he pit's against Harry in cannon to bump himself up the food chain and become the monster the Wizarding World sees him as and a legitimate threat to Servants.

Voldemort should have the venom of the Basilisk as his blood and in his teeth which can kill most people in a single bite, the killing gaze of the eyes of the Basilisk which he can turn on and off, drain the blood, souls, and all emotion and happiness of his victims like a Dementor and Vampire to power himself up and recover from injuries, and to restore his magic. Voldemort also now has the brute strength and magic resistance of a HP Troll and HP Giant. Voldemort can also take the form of what his opponent fears most like a Boggart and draws strength from fear, and like a snake he can shed off his old body to restore himself at his best but only with intense concentration so it is useless in a fight.

Voldemort now also has a healing factor and can also regenerate his body without outside help such as limbs, bones, and vital organs but it takes time and if you include Voldemort's Horcruxes he will not be able to die unless those are destroyed. Voldemort when he get's the Elder Wand should also learn to use dark matter, and gain ESP and Telepathy and learn dark voodoo(see Doctor Facilie from Disney's version of The Princess and the Frog) Voldemort must become more of a humanoid abomination who is the symbolic devil to Harry's savior just to be a better foil and the nightmare of the Wizarding World!

Voldemort must become a Monster that gives Servants and Hardened Magi a reason to pause before facing him, and be the kind of creature who needs to go as his existence is a violation of the natural order and whose legacy after his fall will inspire other dark forces to reach greater power and seek out his remains to become even more powerful and they gain Voldemort's powers added to their own if you decide to go into sequels. Also seeing as both the Type Moon and the Harry Potter series have an afterlife, you can implement where ever Voldemort's soul in case you need to bring him back as a Anti Hero/Heroic Spirit with the Throne of Heroes making his mark on the Magi and Wizarding communities as a true Dark Lord and the Harry Potter series have an afterlife, with the Harry Potter world having Heaven, Hell, Limbo, as well as the Greek Elysium Fields in Harry Potter

Now for the cherry on top of this nightmare of a cake. Voldemort should take the skill's of Zouken and is somehow given Magic Circuits and have the powers of a Type Moon and HP Vampire but finds away to cure himself of the undead affliction of both series Vampires but keeps all the powers just to give the middle finger to Magi and the Dead Apostles as well like Dust of Osiris from Melty Blood by becoming something more than a Dead Apostle and simple Wizard or Magus.

Doomsday Hero chapter 7 . 9/21/2018
Okay, the point where we get to the Wyvern Fights is nearly unreadable, you need proper spacing!
Kaiser Dragon chapter 7 . 9/21/2018
Oh crap. Shirou is not messing around! Yeesh! Also I do have to ask, why did Scatty(my nickname for Scathach) choose to pop in? I know Waver decided to help out Harry but why her specifically?
Thunder Dragon chapter 7 . 9/21/2018
Why did no one tell me this was updated!? Okay rant over. Time to work.

The last parts of this chapter were our heroes face the wyverns had their sentences packed to the point it hurts my eyes and their are several misspellings. I can still read it and it is good action. Other than that I have no criticisms
Ice 88 chapter 7 . 9/20/2018
OVERKILL, lol I loved the chapter even if it was short, in the future pacing would help a bit, and just a little more detail, vant wait for the next chapter good job here, keep it up!
AmethystPone chapter 7 . 9/17/2018
"Trace On!" - That is Shirou's focus chant. Not Trance On.

As for Calabolg...That damn thing is a Mini Nuke, that is way overkill for these "Dragon". It would vaporize the dragon like in this chapter, AND it would also vaporize everyone in the vicinity of the "stadium/arena", especially as a Broken Phantasm.

Kanshou and Bakuya are C rank Noble Phantasm with Bonus against enemies with the trait of beast. It increases Shirou's Physical parameters to some degree, and increase his magical resistance to C rank. They are enough already. to deal with the so-called Dragon (Nasuverse's dragons tend to be almost literal Forces of Nature that press down on the area around them with Mana they generate just by existing. These Dragons aren't anywhere near that).
(Even F rank NPs are better than any normal mystic codes and mundane objects in some shape or form if not entirely. That is the nature of Noble Phantasm. Only a few mystic codes being comparable to NP, and they are the ridiculously unique things like the Jewel Sword of Zelretch, or made by Powerful Beings, or empowered through near a decade like the gems that Rin used to take Berserker's lives and Rin's medallion that revived Shirou)

As for needing Rin's Mana...How many years was this after the war? His Magical Circuits should be healed somewhat by now for him to be able to Traces NPs and broken them several times without the need to use Rin's.

In front of so many people, while normal Research-Magi has a tendency to boast their magical feats, Shirou and Rin (And combat-oriented magi) would be less likely to pull out the higher-end shenanigans when the more mundane things would be enough.

In direct combat, No wizard could ever hope to defeat a Magus specialized in combat.
Against Researcher types, they would have more chance, but even then, all magi learn self-defense to a decent level, enough to deal with thugs without resorting to magecraft, or to hold their own against other less combat-oriented Magi, plus all the little tricks and HAXs that those researchers have.

On a side note: Excalibur's Light represents Mankind's Light. Their hope, their dreams, their prayers, their will, their wishes for miracles, for Salvation, for Glory, for Victory, for Greatness, for Goodness, for Love...They are NOT JUST "Lazer Beams of Light" that can blow away a city at full power if not focused, and I hope when that is pulled out, those aspects can be represented in someway. Because that Light is a beautiful thing, not just a "Imma FIRING MA LAZOR" meme.
