Love it! Considering the moon race put so much more emphasis on the powerful rule of females, it makes sense that Mamoru would take Usagi’s name. I’ve heard of quite a lot of couple dropping their own names all together and creating a new one when there are no families ties bonding either of them.

This is so quintessential first season flirting but not flirting, no, there's no way I feel anything for this person I can't seem to stay away from beauty.

You're so, so good at making his sweet comment subtle enough that we all obviously know what he means, though he might not, but Usagi can just write them off as nothing, because he couldn't mean that, could he? Of course not.

These two are so deny til you die, and I so WISH that there had been more entire episodes of this. This scene is canon. I've decided. And since I'm an authority on this, it's done.

I can't help but think back to the image that inspired this, and it's they're both so, incredibly perfect.

I'm so obsessed with this notion that Mamoru as Tuxedo Mask takes on a whole life of his own, and this is such an amazing example of that with his smirks and hat tips and laughs and arrogance. And that Usagi tries to fight her attraction to him, but dammit he looks really good and she's always been a sucker for his smirks, and anyone who says otherwise can fight me on that.

And with the way naru's glaring, I so hope she knows.

I love that episode, too! This was the very best of anime Mamoru right here, and you, as always, give us a glimpse of the broken, sad, super lonely Mamoru underneath. I love that sooo much?! And that line? About the painting and her being the model? That was heart melting! I hope this isn’t the last little moment? Hopefully there will be more? These are so fun to read !

Oh my gosh. This will stay with me, Flora. Like. That was one of the most beautiful things Ever? Your descriptions were poetic almost? And vivid?! Like the line of them being dipped in caramel, sun kissed skin, the earth coloured cups in the light of the fire, the embroidered vests, the whole pig on spits, the fire... like the word choices in this one was fucking fantastic. It totally transported me smack dab in this culture that is so full of life. Like you breathed life into all of your descriptions? And the cadence of the sentences ? What a beautiful flow! I would read a hundred follow ups in this world, despite the ending we know. That was fabulous. One of my favourites!

I noticed that he was called dr Tsukino in one of your lemon tree stories, and I forgot to mention it but remember thinking that this made total sense. For him to take her name! Because his snippet is so fucking aptly named? He’s rootless until he met her. And of course Tsukino would mean so much more to him than Chiba.. and god. This makes my heart get all scrunched up with emotion cause I love how you defy all the toxic masculinity standards everywhere with this.

Oh em gee! I love it when you take these two idiots and you make them communicate ! First of all, Usagi is cute af as usual with the chocolate, being late, I noticed that conbinis and supermarkets pop up a lot in your work. Which makes perfect sense to me in correlation with Usagis character. One of the most irritating things about the anime , (though understandable as the anime was meant to be for a broader audience) was the lack of conversations when these serious, traumatic, things happen between them. They legit never talk about to. I loved that you created this conversation and you wrote Mamoru with all the emotion and all the vulnerability that is perfectly natural in a broken, emotionally stunted, orphan. This series is awesome!

Oh my fucking god this is amazing. As a mom I can attest to the fact that nobody ever ever ever ever talks about how awful it is right after you have a baby. It’s so ducking h hard and you’re tired and your body is broken and your hormones are out of control and this little bundle of baby can’t even show you they love you and are grateful yet. Like you are a machine and you want to crawl into a hole because it’s the fucking worst some days. NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THIS! I cannot imagine single mothers that have to do this on their own, and I I’m so pumped to see that you portrayed how difficult this is for Usagi and Mamoru. Because of course this would be especially hard for emotional Usa who loves to sleep, and OF COURSE Mamoru would be the most supportive husband in the damn planet. I love this. I love how you make this real! LOVE IT!

Its crazy that these two never have a serious conversa About who they were, what they are to each other. Seriously. These two SUCK at communicating... I mean obviously, it’s perfect because it’s what makes these two idiots so fun to read about. And all of your stories has their inability to communicate as some kind of aspect and I love this! I was very happy for this little moment, too. Seriously. This is exactly how I imagine that there conversation would go if they had actually discussed it. These two are such bumbling idiots and I just love the way you write them and portray them. I loved this little moment it was perfect!? thank you.

The description in this was beautiful, and I could picture it. Then sitting there, his concentrated expression as he did her hair. Again, Flora, I love how you portray their relationship. So beautiful and healthy and it’s like their are both so flawed but heal each other. This was a perfect little moment
