This, here, is now one of my absolute favorite Thranduil and Legolas angst and hurt&comfort fic.
I read it and it stayed with me for days. So much so that I had to come back. Re-read it. And now I must comment.
I think this is perfection when it come to Greenwood right before the LOTR. It is dark, desperate, but ready to fight. It has a plan, it will survive.
Thranduil has a plan for everything, even his own death. Legolas will go any length to get things done. He is dark here but just the right shade of it. Not out of character at all. Just the right stretch of the 'what-if'.

These stories were amazing, and I laughed every single one of them. Your writing style is just ... exceptionally, and through all the many, many fanfictions I've read (especially concerning Lord of the Rings, or Legolas in general) you were and always will be one of the best.
I love it! How you describe Legolas, how you write Thranduil, their relationship with each other, their relationship towards others. You make me 'feel' with every single one of them, and it's not often that I find stories so moving and touching as yours.
I really hope that you won't ever stop writing, because I'm really looking forward to all your stories - and I'm the biggest fan them.

I love this to bits! You’ve shown Legolas and Thranduil’s relationship so well - fun but very real.

I have not read through this entire enthralling collection of stories yet, but I had to pause to just say that I am so thoroughly in love with everything about your LOTR fics. Your characterisations of Legolas and Thranduil are so staggeringly complex and gorgeous and enthralling, their relationship is stunningly beautiful, your OCs are amazing (I love the head healer in particular!) and your stories always leave me speechless for one reason or another. Your writing is also breathtakingly phenomenal- your diction and writing style is stunning but you also manage to blend humour and darkness and tragedy together so brilliantly. I am laughing one minute and my heart is breaking the next, but it all feels so natural and real, and that is the mark of a truly talented author. Amazing amazing work 3

I love the relationship you build between father and son. This is a subject not covered a lot in fanfic, but you tell it sincerely and realistically. Thank you.

This is so good. From the beginning when everything suddenly shift to Legolas being a possible king. You build the surroundings and emotion perfectly. I can picture everything in my mind like a movie. And though it was quite unexpected, the thing with the child is clever. You have a way to create a conflict so unique and answer it with an equally brilliant resolution.

Excellent! Enthralling from beginning to end. It is lovely to get so much insight into their relationship.
