Okay, no. That landlady wouldn’t do an about turn because he was relying on the demon... she clearly already hated him and that was BECAUSE of the demon. Naruto actually giving in and receiving ‘demon powers’ would NOT make her see him in a better light or make her feel guilt. If anything it would just make her feel justified in hating him even more.
