A part of me thinks that a sequel might ruin the magic of this one, but I wouldn't be averse to being proven wrong by reading a second episode/short series of escapades. Kisame might even suggest the assistance that second time (that Itachi naturally wouldn't refuse) after having had fun this time. After that, who knows what might happen? After all, the bosses need not know everything, lol, and why should rumors float around?

I really loved this one shot. Itachi and Kisame's partnership is interesting since there is always a kind of mutual respect. I loved how this was written, there aren't a ton of fics out there that explore this idea. I really loved when Kisane re-lit the fire and said "at this point I'd be insulted if they didn't make it back in one peice." Really great one shot thank you :D
