Some gender bending might be ICK but there are good reasons for it as a genre.
There are not enough female heroes plus you did it with a humorous twist!

Piper is a great character.

Ok. So let me get this out of the way by saying, I ADORE this story. Mostly Piper, because you embody the main elements of the original character while adding onto her to make her different. Yes, she is essentially the same person, but she's also different because May is dead instead of Ben, and Flash doesn't treat her as bad because she's a girl. And speaking of Flash, I love how you portrayed his hero-worship of Spider-Man through Piper's voice. She's so awkward about it, and it's one of my favorite parts of this story. The voice of Piper is something you wrote so well and it's great.

Plus, the Fantastic Four are here. Being honest, I never read a fanfic with the Fantastic Four (they aren't all that interesting in my opinion), but them having an impact on Piper's growth was sweet in how she loved them and was so heart broken after the doombot fiasco. The way you described her feelings had me feel sad and that is the mark of a great writer. Uncle Ben just being there honestly make me feel better that she told him about everything so he could comfort her the way she knows best.

Anyways, great story and I wouldn't mind a continuation of Piper. And also, more Johnny and Piper Friendship, because I never knew I'd like their dynamic until this story. And possibly Flash and Piper Friendship too, because I quite like the idea of Flash being 100% supportive of her in everything. The idea that Piper would like Flash enough to grant him a wish of meeting Spider-Man is also a great sub-plot if you do continue. Or Flash being an utter fanboy when he gets saved by Spider-Man. Either would work.

I absolutely LOVE your version of female parker. Seriously, I've read a ton of the fem versions of the avengers and spiderman and hardly any of them do the character any justice, while still accounting for the fact that they're female! Your story is amazingly well written too. Good job. Happy writings ~

I have never enjoyed a genderswapped Spidey so much ever. Usually it just doesn't work quite right (excepting when swapping Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker entirely as far as their respective hero-ing roles in the storyline) but this was so i/so/i good~! I absolutely loved it and would definitely read more if inspiration continues to strike. Wow.
Also, that Johnny and Piper went right back to being brilliant dorky friends after the brief awkwardness of "hey by the way that girl you hit on was your friend" thing, with any potential for romantic inclinations left ambiguous and up for interpretation or imaginings instead of immediate "close friends to a couple" transitions. Piper i/is/i just young enough Johnny should probably keep it sweet and nice for a while even if he's interested, after all. Him being a legal adult means Piper is jailbait even for him. XD Mostly it's just nice to see that it wasn't allowed to interrupt their increasingly-epic friendship, something too often pushed. They could be actually patrolling on dates, or they could be joking as friends can and patrolling as friendly play-dates instead, it's up to everyone to choose for themselves!

Oh my hecking gosh, I did not know I needed this concept until now. You handled this story so freakingly, amazingly well and I loved every single last second of this. I already love you from your "Worlds Apart" fic, but this made me love your writing and stories even more. If you are interested and have the inspiration, I would love another story in this 'verse. I have only ever read one Avengers genderbent story that i actually liked before and i thought it would never be topped... God i was wrong! So excellently written, i loved every minute, every moment, and felt ALL OF IT SO VERY DEEPLY! I would die for more of my dear sweet Piper and all of her interactions with absolutely EVERYONE! PLEASE! Maybe a fic from everyone else’s perspective? Like the other heros thoughts, first impressions, and finally the scenes that followed the reveal? Now if you’ll excuse me, im off to go cry over this new character i desperately wish was canon and had more of. ;)

This is so cool. I love genderbends (even while I still adore originals too) though i haven't seen many (any?) Fem!Peters around. I stayed up so late reading this because i didn't want to put it down.
You remained very true to the OC, her little quips so funny and typical of who Peter is, girl or boy. You write well, and are good at making plot devices without it seeming contrived or cliche.
Also the hatred from the Police and public and the way it shakes her confidence a few times is so heartrending.
I just really enjoyed this little AU, thanks for sharing :)
