I like the call back to Vegeta's fight with 19. Though I'm curious just how powerful they've gotten.

This was awesome! Gohan’s reaction is so spot on. Trauma, weariness, uncertainty, of course he’s going to be near hysterical! I am in love with Goku’s devotion, his protectiveness chiming in. Easily my favorite bit of this chapter is him just adjusting and being so downtrodden when he sees how weary his son is.

But that does make me wonder...the world of DBZ never stays safe for long. Gohan hasn’t had anyone tontruly push him, to help him hone skills he has. Now he does...that could be interesting. Can’t wait to see where this takes us next.

This story is so hard to read.
Not in the 'it's badly written' or 'I don't like the story' way but in the 'hits ya in the feels and pulls the heart strings' way.

The awkwardness and the misunderstandings make sense given the Z warriors have literally no idea what Bulma, Trunks and Gohan have been living through! I absolutely love the story so far. I think that's mostly because I personally like really emotional stuff, and this story is very emotional. Unfortunately, I do tend to skip through a few paragraphs just because it gets very descriptive and it bores me. Other than that, there are no complaints here. Hope you update soon.

I agree with what you said that he was beaten continuously during this phase and such, but I think you should remember that in Canon Goku and Gohan went from severly outclassed by the androids to perfect cell levels(at least 10 jump) in just a year at HTC
Point is that zenkais cannot increase the power beyond a limit, like if a guy was not a ssj, then could not simply zenkai his way to frieza's strength, they plateau. Same is what happened to future Gohan, because he did not increase limits of ssj, by training that form, zenkais became ineffective
That is where Goku and Vegeta should have a huge advantage, as Goku should have figured out the fpssj form and Vegeta probably should have the same if not then at least the assj he used against cell while Gohan never took the time to refine the ssj

Such a beautiful chapter although so heart wrenching. I love how Goku and Gohan have finally come to a kind of terms with one another. Everything definitely makes sense and I love how even though they are both still quite awkward with each other, the love is very apparent. Gohan may find that letting that emotion out is the most healing thing he has ever done...

Omg this is so good! I just discovered your story yesterday and I literally devored the four chapters.
I just love the idea of the gang coming back to Earth this way, and I don't think I've seen many stories where they all come back, and not just Goku and Vegeta. I think it's a great idea that they are all back, because Krillin and Piccolo were and will be again incredible support to Gohan, and now Trunks gets to know those persons too.
You had written the right with the Android incredibly well, it was intense and I was really in it. And another plus was that you added each guys reaction to wait Earth looks like now, and how miserable it is, and this is great.
Bulma's character is really well written, cause you suceeded in keeping her original spirit, but also showing how much everything has taken her toll on her, and by everything I mean the androids, the destruction everywhere, her friends' death, and her new role as a mom to Trunks and Gohan. And you showed it through Vegeta's eyes, which was nice cause you could he cared about her. If he didn't, we wouldn't have gotten that description.
Goku and Vegeta relationship is a nice balanced rivalry, that floata between "yes we are friends" to the "why is the other so annoying?". It's the basics, the usual, but I love it. Goku keeps trying to balance Vegeta, gets me to open up, even though he has problems. Krillin too tried to get him to open up, we see it when he started the conversation about Trunks'father.
Goku and Gohan needs to sort out their problem, but it seem that both don't even really know what the problem is! Gohan is just frustrated, confused, angry, and Goku feels rejected, sad, and even pessimist about solving this problem, but none really try to understand the problem. They are both confused.

On a lighter note, I absolutely love how you write Vegeta, and especially the moment they all ate together and he tried to impress Bulma. Omg I really laughed at this one, he was so ridiculous. But it was so in character. And I love every lil jabs he says with Piccolo and Tien.
I've seen you ended the chapter with Trunks being rescued by Vegeta, and him suddenly knowing Vegeta is his father. It is so exciting, cause this leads to many paths you could take. You could go for Vegeta avoiding him even further, or Trunks trying to get closer to him, or many things! And also, let's not forget Bulma's reaction to that.
Also, I prognostic Vegeta and Trunks teams up to trap Yamcha and stops him from approaching Bulma. After all, they both don't like him! XD I'm joking course.

I'll be following this story with an enormous interest, cause this plot can lead to so much drama, and question! And I need to know what Goku wanted to ask Vegeta in chapter 3!
You're an extremely talented writer, that has really interesting ideas and seems to know where you're going with that story, and we can feel it as we read it. So keep up the good work!
