SilverMaiden89 chapter 1 . 12/19/2018
Aphrodite is PATHETIC.

"I curse you Artemis!" xDDDD She sounds like she's five.
Lora chapter 15 . 7/4/2018
I loved your story. The Orion myth is my favorite and I loved his interpretation of it.
I'd rather believe she really did, but she did not notice it in time.
I loved it, congratulations

I definitely believe that Artemis really loved Orion. For god’s sake, she made him a constellation! I loved this story and can’t wait for new ones to come!
te amour chapter 15 . 6/24/2018
Oh dear, ran out of space, apparently. Anyways, that is my take on your story. Of course, only you will ever know with absolute certainty the answer to your question.

Brilliant story. Hope to see more.
te amour chapter 15 . 6/24/2018
It’s certainly an interesting query.

I believe it is a requirement to have to love something about someone to truly love someone, whether it be looks, personality, identity, or else. No love is unconditional. A mother loves a child on the condition that he/she is her child. There is no such thing as unconditional love.

I also believe that love can span over years, centuries, millennia even, but it can also be felt in the blink of an eye. Love cannot be defined by a timeframe. There is no such thing as true love being eternal. The concept of something truly eternal is one which transcends even the gods. Even gods like Artemis had a beginning, and they will eventually have an end, just like everything else, including love.

So, combining my two points, Artemis perhaps was in love with Orion a few millennia ago. She loved his politeness, his companionship, his personality, and perhaps more. These are the conditions of her love for him. Thus, after centuries upon centuries, without his presence around her constantly, her passion faded with the passing of time. This is not to say she never loved him, and perhaps a part of her will always long for his company, but her love was transient, as the conditions for her love disappeared.

That being said, five millennia later is not generally a recommended time to ponder about one’s feelings. She cannot be objective about a love from lifetimes ago after thousands of years of outside influence causing her to second guess. One cannot remember exactly how a meal from yesterday tasted; one cannot replicate the happiness they felt five millennia ago, especially without its source.

I have reason to believe that Artemis loved Orion, millennia ago, however fleeting their interactions were in the grand scheme of things. A maiden goddess does not throw around that word easily. Perhaps some little part of her will always ache for him. But she cannot recall the feeling of something she loved if she does not love it anymore.

Brilliant story. Hope to see more.

Hmm did she? Id say yes. However love is fleeting, it comes and goes, however I wouldnt say it was TRUE love as thats the kind of love that stays forever. If Artemis is doubting herself or has forgotten the reason why she loved Orion, then while she loved him...she didnt TRULY love him.

This was a good story and a fascinating take on the myth. I hope to see more stories from you.

Wow. I really wish this was actually in Greek mythology. I am so impressed. Can’t wait for the next chapter!
Silver566 chapter 14 . 6/23/2018
Oh damn... did not expect that last part.
Silver566 chapter 12 . 6/15/2018
Oh...is Poseidon gonna react negatively to Artemis? Or Apollo. Both?
Bragha Run chapter 11 . 6/14/2018
It's a trap! Meh, I knew I was reading a tragedy from the get go. Let the fall out blast away.
Silver566 chapter 11 . 6/14/2018
So is the next chapter the finale?
Bragha Run chapter 10 . 6/13/2018
Orion is just setting himself up for failure with his comments, it'll be the icing on the cake for Apollo. I always imagine the motive being Apollo jealous of Orion"s relationship with Artemis. Not because he wants to protect her maidenhood. Loving the quick updates with the chapters.

Googling Codename Verify and reading the plot... damn, that's whack.
Bragha Run chapter 9 . 6/12/2018
What's the worst thing that could happen from that kiss? ...oh wait, it's not night yet. Orion best keep clear of Apollo.
Bragha Run chapter 6 . 6/11/2018
I'm over the moon (haha) that you are doing a story like this. Reading the books and myths about Artemis and Orion has always been so convoluted and interesting. I really am looking forward to your interpretation of it is.

Good progress
