I love this story. I have been on a Darcy kick and fell in love. It is so different and I cannot wait to see where you take it.

As of monday I am unemployed and really resonate with Darcy. I was backup for a lead that spent more time talking than working. So when the company downsized she was one of the first to go. And honestly if she would of done her job, my position wouldn’t have existed. I love how realistically with Jarvis there really wasn’t a need for Darcy. So we are both out of luck.

When you are normal, without connections, you have to work hard as hell to get anywhere in life. And it is never guaranteed. So please update soon.

Okay I like the story but I'm kinda confused here. Darcy was Jane's intern. She got the internship through the college she goes to, Culver. She took this internship because she screwed up and didn't have enough credits to graduate. Luckily no one else applied and she got it.

In the story you still have her as an intern who doesn't get paid but deletes her college background. An intern is and intern because they're gaining something else, in this case Darcy would gain her credits, so that explains why she wouldn't get paid.

But with what you wrote so far wouldn't she just be a hired assistant? And if she's an assistant she would get paid because she's not in college working for her credits. She should have a lot of money saved since she lived with Jane. As a paid assistant to Jane who definitely worked 40hrs a week she also should have been provided health care.

She got no notice of her termination so couldn't Jane at least write her a letter of recommendation? But again that's only if she was a hired assistant. But how can Jane pay her if they didn't even have money for funding all the 'science'?

Again I'm confused about this thread of the story. I hope you'll clear it up.

Poor Darcy! I was hoping that one of her soul mates was Clint, but that didn't happen. He's a good guy to be friends with! Tony is an ass.

Just amazing! I love it! Oh god I hope there’s more soon. Darcy is my favourite and I love the friendship her and Barton are forming! I weirdly hope whatever nasty words Darcy is stuck with are enough to get her to not jump at the chance of being with them. It’d be so great to see them not believe she has their words and for her to not be keen on convincing them. She’s better than that. I think Jane comes across as flighty, rather than a bad person. Quite like reading her like that.

Would love to see how Thor is around Darcy because it sounds like they’re friends! I really adore this fic and it’s a great level of angst without coming across as self pitying. Not that it would be out of place because, holy hell, why is even tony being an ass to her. I know you said you’re lazy but I hope this motivates you a little. I’ll be rereading this till there’s another update! Also left kudos on ao3 but I’m glad I can comment here. You’re incredible, and this story has amazing potential!
