Sometimes I think I simply take things too seriously. Though it does irk me when main characters don't even consider such things.

Then again this particular topic might be a sore theme for me as a friend of my mother was forced to drink alcohol as a child when there was still a war raging. The incident lead to him permanently losing his ability to hear.

A sister of my grandmother was forced to drink alcohol as a child by an irresponsible adult, which lead to her being stunted in her mental growth. Due to this particular incident happening multiple times to her as her babysitter wanted to go dance and the child to sleep, she ended up seriously mentally handicapped and needing the assistance of others to continue living. Unable to truly understand the happenings around her.

Honestly, it is shocking how devastating the effects of alcohol on children can be, especially young ones.

I know the character is fictional and has the emotional capacity of a teaspoon, but this chapter...MADE ME SO ANGRY! On the day the war ended he was all "oh, poor Harry!" and then he takes away the only chance for Harrys Godfather to be freed from prison? Well, f*ck him! F*ck him very much! Also, he did it only to have a wand! What's wrong with him?!

I mean I love your story, I really do. I just am very conflicted about reading on after this. I mean will he ever regret it? How can he look Harry in the eyes if he meets him in Hogwarts? Or is he going to pretend this never happened?

Of course there is the possibility of character growth and him regretting this later, which...would actually be quite cool. Hm, maybe he will even figure out a way to free Sirius anyay. That would be nice.
