I like the ideas you bring into the story but you need to work them out more thoroughly. Let the story slowly build up to them so you have time to work on the details and prevent story inconsistencies.

Wow, I read the first lines of your story and I instant faved it! Why?
Because, you wrote what I thought, after I played before the storm.
First I thought, Chloe were a annoying ( I excuse myself for my language) "bitch".
But after I read Max's messages in before the storm I felt very sorry for Chloe and how Max almost forgot about her. And I love how you convey this emotions into your story :)
