Reviews for Stained Hearts and Permanent Ink
Tasia'sENDLESSDreams chapter 5 . 8/26/2019
Hey!

I just wanted to say what an amazing author you are. This story is absolute perfection, and you need to know that no matter how long you take to update, the quality of what you put out is worth reading every time. I’m really glad I came across this story to add to my crippling Kacchako addiction, and it even helped me with some of my own MHA AU characterization, so thanks for the inspiration!

You took this AU and made it your own, and I can’t wait to see what more you do when you’re up to it! I know first hand how life can take a toll on your ability to keep up with writing and getting in a funk can stifle it even more. I also know that channeling that life emotion and experience at your worst can really help you get something relatable and cathartic out there when you want to channel it, a bit like you mentioned in your authors note.

This story doesn’t have a enough reviews, so hopefully this one helps that situation . Keep doing what your doing, cause you’re really good at it!

LOVE THIS! I LOVE TATTOO ARTIST KATSUKI
Kami-Inu chapter 1 . 6/30/2018
'peeks in' Hey there, hope you're doing well. I just found the notification for this story, so of course I had to come and check it out. After reading through this first Chapter, all I can say is...

...YAAAS, QUEEN! SLAY! XD XD XD

But seriously, this is SO damn good! As someone who has some ink herself (including my last piece which is going on three YEARS unfinished, I feel like SUCH a tool, but life came at me HARD), I'm SO happy to see an AU like this.

I really enjoyed all the little touches you put in, both towards the profession itself (this seriously sounds like a parlor I'd wanna go to, if it existed, and I hadn't found my guys XD), and the characters in their respective positions/roles. You have a pretty good grasp of how these places work, but it's the characters themselves that steal the show.

At first, when I saw the title/summary, I honestly thought, for some reason, that this was gonna be a story where Katsuki was an author? IDK why, I just did. XD Not that he COULDN'T be, if in the right writer's hands (hint, hint 'nudges you' X3)... But then I started reading, and holy crap, I was blown away. Tattoo artist is both something I NEVER would've thought of as a profession for him, but at the same time could TOTALLY see him getting into.

It's not like Katsuki only knows how to fight; we're shown in canon at least two of his talents on the side, cooking and playing the drums. He could easily be an artist too, and given his rebellious nature, he might actually LIKE a hobby with no real restrictions, such as drawing. At the same time, we've seen him be very technical in his battles, even with his temper, so adding in the ink aspect and tools isn't such a far stretch.

I also LOVED the banter between him and Mina; I could REALLY see her in a profession like this too, given that she's already been shown to be both gutsy and creative in canon (standing up to bullies/monsters, and having a love of dance). So this is a pretty good fit for her, too. And DON'T get me started on how they were totally keeping tabs and looking for dirt to dig up on each other. LOL at Katsuki debating whether or not to use Mina's thoughts on Kirishima with ink as possible revenge once Ochako came in the picture.

Speaking of which-Uraraka! You did so well with her here! I could easily see her being the scared and shy, but still going through with it type. Doing it for a dare actually does fit really well, but when you add in her own determined spirit and personal reasoning, that makes it all the better. I like how you were able to balance them so cleanly here: keeping in mind their canon personalities, while at the same time taking into account the setup/rules of this AU. You got it to fit around them, without being OOC.

Katsuki was still a smart-ass with a short temper, but also professional-and even with a sense of humor, too! I liked the 'crying baby face' bit in particular, OMG. And Uraraka was both cute and brave-like she always is-but at the same time, working in the whole plot point of her being a newbie to the whole concept of ink, without being an indecisive waste of time as a customer, was pulled off effortlessly. I'm REALLY curious about the custom design Katsuki whipped up for her, too-maybe we'll find out what it is in later Chapters...? :3

For the most part, the structure and flow of this story was really good. There were some mistakes, but quite few and far between. A few instances with missing/extra apostrophes and spaces between words mainly, and possibly one instance of the wrong word being used. That's it; these are things that can easily be fixed in an edit. And they weren't glaring enough to make me lose interest in this gem of a fic idea.

So, keep up the great work! I'm LOVING what you've got so far, and I can only imagine what's in store for all our players here. Hmm, wonder if Uraraka will make good on her tease of possibly coming back in the future...? I'm sure Katsuki wouldn't mind that one bit. XD X3

Take care now!
