Wow, pretty heavy chapter. You did a really good jib with it. With this kind of situation on team seven, one has to wonder if they would reach further than the others. It could become really scary for Naruto with the deal with the Kyuubi and being able to feel the hate the village feels for him once he arrives. Then again, will they arrive?

I need more. /Please/. This is so amazingly good, everything about it - from a really good interpretation of how the Beasts come back, to the bet, to when they finally open up, /all of it/. "Because I didn't have anything to lose. Than I had you guys." (The Kakashi callback was good too, but that line really stuck out to me.) The way the Kyuubi senses people. It's /so/ good, and I want to write this well.

They're in the Uzushio ruins, which you've relocated to the Land of Rivers because you know how to plot well! And your Kyuubi is so good, and Sasuke's sharingan paradigm is so good, and your way of having Sakura reinvent riverwalking is just an amazing little detail that I love so very much. And the morals work! And the combat is amazing! I just love this /so much/,

Ah, so this is updating first before Written In Reverse starts back up. That is /such a cool way for Sasuke to get the Chidori/. I really want to see this as an anime.
