Reviews for A New Way Forward
creativesm75 chapter 16 . 8/16/2019
very good
fencer29 chapter 16 . 12/26/2018
How many years has it been since Knuckleduster "retired" so that he could concentrate on looking after his daughter? (bearing in mind that Vigilante is set at least a couple of years before the start of BnHA, back when Aizawa was still fully active as an underground hero who's friend, Kayama, was still trying to talk into becoming a teacher at UA).

"...someone who you two will respect and get along with" - What are these committee members smoking? Not only is it questionable if there is anyone who Bakugo can really be said to get along, but Midoriya's name is probably at the bottom of the list of people who he might get along with well enough to not try and blow them up on sight. The only hope is that Jiro can make him behave (he does owe her, and if there's one thing Katsuki Bakugo hates more than the feeling that Midoriya is looking down at him, it's being in someone's debt).

And finally, if you are going to insist that I make a guess as to the identity of the second traitor, then I'll go with an old standby - THE BUTLER DID IT!
A Fan chapter 11 . 12/12/2018
It was good at first, but now the character interactions seem REALLY forced. Even the dialogue seems jarring sometimes. I don't really know what else to say. I'll continue reading this as it is well written but I probably won't review or 'comment' on anything since I have already said everything I wanted to.
LucklessBlock86 chapter 15 . 10/30/2018
Damn it! You just keep making me cry! You're too good at this!
fencer29 chapter 15 . 10/29/2018
A fitting send off for the "Hero" who defined that term for an entire generation (all that's needed now is a burning ship to carry All Might's body out to sea - despite being Japanese he looks more like he belongs in Valhalla).

And no (in response to your question), I'll pass on even making as guess as to the second traitor. Even in canon I've sometimes wondered if the "traitor" won't eventually turn out to be a simple case of improper disposal of papers on the part of the UA staff and some serious dumpster diving on the part of the League (scrounging through the trash for scraps seems appropriate for Shigaraki - still not sure exactly what AFO saw in him).
sremiehzla chapter 1 . 10/29/2018
(I have to leave this review on a different chapter because I already left 2 for chapter 15)

Alright, I was expecting to have my heart ripped out in this chapter, but I didn't expect it to come as early as the author's notes.

Anyways, that chapter was intense. And also sad, but mostly intense. Honestly I felt worse for the bundle of joy than I did about the traitor, the person who but the dust, or the reformed fireman. But I do think it was a very fitting way for that all to happen.

Also fuck Scotch Tape, mega big time. There's one more, right? The one who went to the other school... Well that narrows it down a bit. Anyways, looking forwards to the next chapter!

Crow's Apprentice chapter 15 . 10/28/2018
Great story. And now *sniffing* I need to give Eri a hug. *Voice breaking* I'll be right back! *Hugging Eri, crying along with her* ALL MIGHT, NOOOO!
LordXG3 chapter 15 . 10/28/2018
Oof. I'm feelin' it. Damn it. I'm gonna...go cry in the corner now.
sremiehzla chapter 15 . 10/21/2018
Rip 6k words, oof

Don't rush it because if this setback, give yourself the needed time. We can wait
bigrig56 chapter 14 . 10/11/2018
Why do I feel you have a bad B-grade action movie plot part coming up... Cause it feels like the good guys protecting Eri are going to get seriously hurt or die (probably Gran Torino and All Might dying while Ectoplasm and Inko are seriously hurt) and Eri will be captured and then Deku and Ochako are going to go ape-shit on some villains. Cause that's the plot to a majority of bad B-grade action movie. But I'm invested in reading this story, so I can't wait to see what happens next.
fencer29 chapter 14 . 10/6/2018
I would say that I am so shocked to find that Sero is one of the traitors, but that would be a lie (and such a blatant one that it can't even be glossed over as one of Aizawa's "tactical ruses"). His behavior has only been making him stand out since Chapter 2.
Keradon chapter 14 . 10/6/2018
Greetings!

Your piece as a whole is an interesting one. Honestly, however, the OOCness is not as apparent, mostly due to the plausible timeskip and the Training From Hell(tm).

Your work, as a whole, has my interest. The follow is earned.

For chapter 14, however, you have reached a tense point of plot potential, which is excellent. The next few chapters will determine if the favorite can be earned. I look forward to seeing what comes up!
